Kapitel 27: Chapter 27: Make Me A Better Man

Ronnie’s POV

I stand outside Nancy’s dorm room with my hand still on the doorknob and think for a moment. Should we wait to talk about her possibly moving to New York? We went days without talking to each other the last time we got into a disagreement, and I don’t want to do that again.

With my mind made up, I slowly open the door and see Nancy sitting on her bed, looking off into space. I approach her and kneel in front of her, rubbing my hands over her knees.

“Nancy, look at me,” I speak quietly. Nancy looks down at me; her eyes are slightly red like she’s about to cry.

“Let’s go back to my place, and I’ll explain some things to you that might help you make sense of why I am the way I am.” I squeeze her knees gently and give her a half smile.

“Yeah, okay. That sounds good,” Nancy nods as she speaks. I stand and pull her up with me.
