Though their soul contract with Dylosen played a chief factor in their disinterest towards it, they also knew that the fragment's power was not something that should be trifled with. Anyone capable of wielding it would be able to ascend to godhood. Those who were unable to would be overwhelmed by it and perish as Morpheus did back then.
