Kapitel 29: The Jiang Army Arrives
In the tea house, Death Centipede leaned by the window, his blindfolded eyes appearing as if they could see the ongoing battle at the Qian Family estate. A faint smile lingered on his face.
"Two against one… it seems the Qian Family won't last much longer," he murmured, sipping his tea leisurely.
"The Sun-Moon Key, the legendary Sun-Moon Treasure…
"Is it truly real, or merely a myth? How intriguing."
With a cold chuckle, Death Centipede moved his fingers slightly, and several streaks of black light darted through the air like venomous snakes, vanishing in the blink of an eye.
Qian Jiuqiu fought valiantly against Feng Mobai and Shen Ningfa but was utterly suppressed.
The pair's relentless attacks were like a torrential storm. Feng Mobai's swordsmanship created thousands of sharp sword energies, which, combined with Shen Ningfa's power, struck Qian Jiuqiu repeatedly, leaving him covered in wounds.
"Qian Jiuqiu, the Qian Family's destruction is inevitable today.
"Hand over the Sun-Moon Key, and I will allow you a dignified death!" Feng Mobai shouted, his sword creating a whirlwind of sword shadows in the sky.
"Feng Mobai, your Xuanyuan Mountain's ambition would shame your founding ancestor!
"If you think you can monopolize the Sun-Moon Treasure by eliminating the Qian Family, you are dreaming!" Qian Jiuqiu roared defiantly, standing his ground despite his injuries.
"Hah! No wonder the Qian Family is in decline. Even your daughter is nothing more than a useless vase with no cultivation talent!" Feng Mobai sneered.
"In this world, only one power can claim the Sun-Moon Treasure. If I had found the ruins back then, I would've killed your ancestor on sight, leaving no chance for negotiations!" Feng Mobai's ambition shone through, his voice dripping with cruelty.
Qian Jiuqiu ignored his taunts and focused on resisting, but the combined might of Feng Mobai and Shen Ningfa was overwhelming. The battlefield grew increasingly dire for the Qian Family.
Thousands of Qian Family disciples had already fallen. Blood soaked the ruins of the estate, and lifeless bodies littered the grounds.
Even the elders protecting Qian Xinrou were overpowered by coordinated attacks from Xuanyuan Mountain and Blazing Heaven Island's Earth experts.
Out of the four elders shielding Qian Xinrou, three had been killed, and the last stood gravely injured, struggling to defend her.
"Protect the young lady!" the injured elder roared, knowing his time was short.
Before he could act further, a blade of light slashed across his neck. Blood trickled down as he collapsed lifelessly.
"Elder Qian Yin!" Qian Xinrou screamed, her voice filled with anguish.
"Stop yelling. You're next!" sneered an Earth elder from Xuanyuan Mountain, his eyes gleaming with malice.
He raised his blade to strike Qian Xinrou.
Just as Qian Xinrou braced for death, a figure clad in black appeared behind her assailant. Moving like a shadow, the figure shattered the attacker's blade with a single strike and instantly killed him.
Qian Xinrou stood frozen, staring in shock at her savior, a masked figure dressed in black.
Before she could speak, the tide of battle suddenly shifted.
Twelve figures clad in dark armor surged across the battlefield like grim reapers, their peak Earth aura cutting through the ranks of the three factions.
"Who dares interfere in Xuanyuan Mountain's affairs?!" roared an elder from Xuanyuan Mountain, his voice trembling with fury as he confronted the sudden arrival of the Shadow Guards and God-Slaying Guards.
At that moment, the Jiang Empire's flying warships appeared in the skies above the Qian Family estate, drawing the attention of everyone present.
"Is that… the Jiang Empire?"
"Wait, those are… Heavenly Realm auras!"
Even Death Centipede, seated in the tea house, turned his head toward the sky, sensing the aura of two Heavenly Sovereign experts aboard the flagship.
On the lead ship's deck, Jiang HuanYu stood with an imposing presence, flanked by Qian Gong, Marshal Tie Poyun, and King Jinag, both of whom exuded the aura of Heavenly Realm experts.
Jiang HuanYu's gaze swept the battlefield, quickly locating Qian Xinrou.
"Shadow Guard, ensure Qian Xinrou's safety. She must not suffer even a scratch.
"Everyone else—attack! Leave no one alive!" Jiang HuanYu commanded decisively.
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
The Jiang Empire's forces, led by more than twenty Earth experts, descended from the warships and plunged into the fray.
"Hahaha! The Jiang Empire has come to our aid!"
"Brothers and sisters, kill them all! Let none of these invaders escape!" roared a Qian Family elder, his voice filled with renewed vigor.
The arrival of the Jiang Empire's reinforcements reignited the Qian Family's morale. Their despair turned into a fierce resolve to annihilate their enemies.
"Kill!"
United in purpose, the Qian Family launched a furious counterattack, their warriors fighting with reckless abandon.
Two Shadow Guards merged into Qian Xinrou's shadow, silently protecting her wherever she moved.
The tide of battle began to turn. The once-dominant forces of Xuanyuan Mountain, Evil Moon Hall, and Blazing Heaven Island found themselves on the defensive as the combined might of the Qian Family and Jiang Empire bore down upon them.
