Alessandro's gaze shifted from Luca to Matteo. The intensity in his expression froze me in place, yet I couldn't look away. He was on edge, like a predator sensing danger in the air. His jaw tightened, and I saw him exchange a brief nod with Matteo, who immediately readied himself for action.

"How many?" Alessandro asked in a grave voice, his hand instinctively moving to the grip of his weapon.

Matteo stepped closer, stealing a glance outside. "At least three cars. Looks like they're armed."
