Kapitel 11: Chapter 11: Lines Crossed

All Might's Patrol

The streets were calm today, quieter than usual. All Might bounded across city blocks, his sharp eyes scanning the ground for any sign of trouble. There were only a handful of minor cases—an attempted purse snatching here, a lost child reunited with their parents there. Nothing required his full strength or attention, leaving his thoughts to wander.

This is weird, he mused, leaping gracefully from one rooftop to another. But maybe it's just a slow day. Oh well.

As he surveyed the streets, a commotion caught his eye—a gathering of civilians and a handful of heroes in front of a government building. They held cardboard signs scrawled with messages:

"Reform Our Society!"

"HPSC Do Something!"

"All Might is Right!"

The chants of the crowd carried up to him, their voices unified in anger and frustration. "All Might is right! All Might is right!"

All Might landed silently on a nearby rooftop, watching the scene unfold below. His face remained impassive, but his thoughts churned. I knew this would happen. But this quickly? He paused, his gaze lingering on the faces of the protesters. Then again, maybe that's not entirely a bad thing.

He lingered for a moment longer, then turned and leaped away into the fading light of the evening.

A Shocking Sight

As the sun dipped below the horizon, All Might retired to his room at Might Tower, collapsing onto his bed with a sigh. He reached for the remote and turned on the television, hoping to catch some light entertainment before sleep.

The screen flickered to life, and the sight that greeted him sent a jolt through his system.

Headlines blared across the screen:

"Mysterious Creatures Engage Endeavor in Brutal Battle!"

The footage that followed showed Endeavor locked in combat with two grotesque creatures, their twisted, muscular forms resembling twin monstrosities. The creatures—identical in appearance—had pale, grayish skin, glowing red eyes, and a patchwork of scars crisscrossing their bodies.

All Might's eyes narrowed as he sat upright. Nomus, he realized immediately.

The battle played out on-screen, showing Endeavor unleashing waves of flame against the creatures. Though he managed to overpower them, it wasn't without difficulty. The Nomus landed several hits, one of them delivering a clean punch to Endeavor's face. The blow sent the hero sprawling, and the internet wasted no time making a meme out of it, with hashtags like #EndeavourClapped trending alongside #WeirdCreatures and #AllMightIsRight.

All Might, however, wasn't amused. His jaw clenched as he processed the implications.

These things weren't supposed to appear until much later, he thought, recalling the timeline of events. By saving Tenko, I've forced All For One to accelerate his plans. And now he's developed the Nomus far earlier than expected.

The realization weighed on him. His actions had unintended consequences, shifting the balance of the story he thought he knew. "This just got a lot harder," he muttered, his fingers tightening around the remote.

Morning Revelation

The next morning, All Might was awakened by the shrill buzz of his phone. He groaned, rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he grabbed it from the nightstand. Sir Nighteye's name flashed on the screen.

"All Might," Nighteye's voice greeted him, breathless and shaken. "You were—right."

All Might sat up, his grip tightening on the phone. "What do you mean?"

"The HPSC," Nighteye said, his words coming in halting bursts. "They're... disgusting. Killing people to maintain appearances, bribing media outlets, covering up scandals—it's worse than I thought."

"Calm down," All Might said, his voice firm but not unkind. "I need you to gather all the evidence in a folder and deliver it to me. Can you do that?"

Nighteye hesitated. "What are you going to do with it?"

"I'll hold them accountable," All Might replied, his tone leaving no room for argument.

After a long pause, Nighteye sighed. "Understood."

The HPSC's Dark Order

In the HPSC headquarters, tension simmered in the president's office. Lady Nagant stood at attention, her usual composure betraying a hint of unease as she faced the man behind the desk.

The president's expression was grim, his eyes cold. "Your task," he said, his voice cutting through the silence, "is to kill All Might."

Nagant's heart skipped a beat. She kept her face neutral, but inside, her thoughts raced. "How?" she asked, her voice betraying only the faintest tremor.

The president leaned forward, his gaze unyielding. "I've assembled a team of top assassins. You will lead them. Tonight, while he sleeps, you'll infiltrate Might Tower and eliminate him. He's gone too far. If we don't cut him out now, he'll destroy us."

Nagant nodded mechanically, her mind spinning. "Understood," she said, her voice even.

As she left the office, her steps echoed in the sterile hallway. She kept her head high, her expression unreadable, but her thoughts churned with doubt.

Kill All Might? she thought, her chest tightening. After meeting him just twice, I know I can't do this. I don't want to do this.

Images of All Might flashed through her mind—his awkward smiles, his quiet honesty, his unflinching resolve to change hero society. She had come to admire him, even in such a short time. And now, the HPSC expected her to end his life.

As she walked, her pace slowed. She glanced at her hands, hands that had taken so many lives in the name of preserving peace.

Maybe... maybe this is my chance to stop being their tool.

The chapter ended with Nagant standing at a crossroads, torn between her loyalty to the HPSC and the flickering hope All Might had inspired in her. Would she warn him and betray the only life she'd known, or follow her orders and snuff out the light of the Symbol of Peace? The decision loomed, as heavy and uncertain as the night itself.
