Kapitel 15: I Really Love Ragar's Voice
The moment his fingers brushed against them, Ragar's entire body trembled.
"Young Master! Please! You must not sully your hands by touching the ears of a wretched beastmen like me—"
"Don't be stupid!" Rocco interrupted, his voice loud and fierce.
Ragar tried to pull away, arching back in an attempt to escape Rocco's grip, but Rocco held him firmly, his arms tightening in an unyielding embrace.
Ragar's shoulders jerked slightly, his body stiffening in surprise.
It was clear he hadn't expected Rocco to shout or act so forcefully.
Holding him close, Rocco took a deep breath and leaned in, his lips close to Ragar's ear.
His voice softened, but his words carried undeniable strength.
"Listen to me, you idiot Ragar. And listen well."
"I really love Ragar's voice," Rocco said with a warm smile. "And these fluffy ears are absolutely adorable. I've always wanted to touch them, but… I was worried you'd get mad if I tried."
As he gently rubbed the golden fur of Ragar's ears, the beastmen's cheeks gradually turned pink, the color spreading softly.
"Y-Young Master, it is unthinkable for a lowly slave like myself to refuse you. However, these beast ears are the mark of a disgraceful beastmen… For someone of your noble stature to touch them…"
"Who says these fluffy ears are disgraceful? Anyone who says that will have to deal with me," Rocco declared firmly.
How could anyone think such soft, fluffy ears, which felt so incredible to the touch, were anything less than amazing?
Rocco couldn't help but bury his nose into the fur, taking in the subtle, pleasant scent, and let out a contented sigh.
"These ears are the best. So cute and perfect."
Then he added, "If you dare call them a disgrace again, even you, Ragar, will get knocked out by me."
Hearing this, Ragar's eyes filled with tears, his gaze growing tender and warm.
"What a beautiful heart you possess… Young Master, I am deeply devoted to you."
"Huh? Heh, I love you too, Ragar," Rocco replied casually, unsure what else to say but returning the sentiment.
So Ragar didn't dislike him after all!
What a relief.
Rocco felt lucky that this misunderstanding had been cleared up so unexpectedly.
"I really do love you, Ragar. I think we'll make a great pair—a master and servant who trust each other completely!"
But just as Rocco was basking in the happy resolution, a soft, trembling voice interrupted.
"…So that's it… Master, you're going to abandon me and fall for someone else…?"
Startled, Rocco froze.
Turning his head quickly, he realized with a sinking feeling that he'd completely forgotten about Georgio.
Rocco spun around to check on him.
Georgio, who had been kneeling earlier with flushed cheeks, now sat on the ground with a pale face and trembling body.
Despite his dejected expression, he had obediently stayed in place as instructed.
"Ahhh! Ragar, put me down—I need to go to Georgio!" Rocco exclaimed in a panic.
Although Ragar's face briefly twisted into a sullen pout, he silently complied and setting Rocco gently on the ground before straightening his posture.
