The cave walls closed around them. Nathan led Scarlett deeper into the cave, his flashlight cutting a narrow beam through the darkness. Behind them, the faint hum of the helicopter grew fainter, but it was replaced by the distant echoes of footsteps—Grayson's men were still pursuing them.
Scarlett's voice broke through the silence, trembling but determined.
"How much farther does this go?"
