"Is that a Dragon?! I thought those were supposed to be rare?!" One of the boys exclaimed in fear as the dust finally settled.
'That's still a young Dragon. It isn't too large, there's a chance I can escape.' At the same time, Naya deliberated on her next course of action. She froze when the gaze of the Dragon landed on her. It took slow but steady steps toward her, its sharp reptilian eyes never shifting from her. For a second, she thought that it was all over, but then, it simply nudged her with its head and turned to face the four young men.
Naya watched as the Dragon cracked open its mouth, releasing trails of smoke. She could tell that a wave of Dragon's Breath was about to be released.
Whoosh!
Just like she predicted, a wave of greenish-orange flames was released from the mouth of the Dragon, washing over the ground and stopping just short of reaching Klaus, who was at the forefront of the boys. A terrified expression dawned on their faces as they watched the wall of scorching flames come near enough to make the ends of their hairs curl up.
When the breath stopped and the Dragon turned to walk back to Naya's side, it was as if a silent statement had been made. One that was enough to leave Naya's name in the annals of the history of the Sun Empire!
Everyone who witnessed the scene only had one thought - A commoner had tamed a Dragon!

"Hohoho! This is an interesting development." A rugged, aged voice chuckled as he watched the scene displayed by a giant crystal screen that hovered in the center of a massive round hall. "What do you all think about it?" The old man who had spoken turned around and faced the fourteen other people present in the room.
"Indeed, it is interesting. What do you think, Saint Erika?" Another person spoke, before turning to a woman with wild red hair and a sharp look. She had a small white pigeon with long white tail feathers on her shoulder.
"A Dragon Tamer is something unprecedented. It is unprecedented, but it will give us an edge over the other nations." Saint Erika said with a straight face. "But then again, it won't be too easy for her, will it?" She turned over to the small bird on her shoulder with a playful smirk growing over her face.

Back in the Geldale Forest...
Naya sat with her back pressed against the wall as she watched the Dragon that had carried her by her collar, away from the four boys and deep into the forest. They had just arrived at this cliff wall, and it had dropped her, leaving her with nowhere to run.
"#??!+#!!"
"Now that we are away from all that, let's have a nice chat."
A string of strange and undecipherable sounds rang in Naya's head, but she instantly understood what it meant. Shocked, she looked up at the young Dragon in front of her that was watching her calmly.
"Was that you just now?" She carefully asked. The Dragon in front of her nodded slowly. "So... How do we do this? Did I tame you?" Naya slowly got to her feet upon seeing the Dragon not make a move to harm her.
"Tame me? Ha! Don't make me laugh. I simply just found you interesting." The Dragon's rich male voice rang through her head again. It suddenly moved, taking firm, measured steps around Naya, observing her. "There is something strange about you. Interesting. It make me curious. So I will stay around. For now, let's go with the most logical option. Both you and I know that we can't just leave each other now."
"You want a bond?" Naya understood where the Dragon was going with his words.
"Yes, but not one of those shallow one-way bonds that you have been taught. A real bond. One that gives both of us agency. One that is more than you know." The Dragon stopped right at her front and took a step forward, bearing down on her. A heavy pressure descended on her mind and body as the deep green eyes of the Dragon turned a radiant gold.
Whoosh!
A gust of wind suddenly blew out in all directions. Naya's mind was stunned, but she was able to keep her footing. It only took a minute for her to regain her senses, and when she did, she found the Dragon sitting back a few feet away.
"What do you say?" The Dragon asked.
"I accept!" Naya straightened her back and voiced her thoughts. In the first place, she had already thought of the pros and cons back when she was still being carried here by the Dragon. There was no way she would ever turn down such an opportunity. Taming a Dragon was one thing. She could gain all the normal benefits of a normal, while also enjoying some exclusive benefits that she would not have gotten otherwise if she had dominated a beast and tamed it.
As soon as she spoke, a faint green glow encased both her and the Dragon, lifting their bodies from the ground. Naya felt a chilling breeze run through her veins, before feeling a scalding heat wash over her skin. Her face contorted as she felt her soul link with a monstrous force, but in the next second, that monstrous force disappeared, leaving only a slight weight that represented the Dragon in front of her.
Slowly, the two of them were lowered back onto the ground. Naya raised her head and looked at the Dragon. She suddenly felt that all the menacing features had turned soft, even cute.
"I can hear your thoughts... Don't call me cute or I'll scoop out your eyes." The Dragon's voice reverberated through her mind and Naya suppressed a chuckle.
"I'm Naya, what can I call you?" She asked.
"Kee- I'll think of telling you my name." The Dragon started, but paused midway, causing Naya to frown.
"Alright. Whatever you say." She smiled in the end.
