"What's going on?" Gwen asked, looking between Peter and Miguel.
Peter glanced at Jessica, who is ready to attack if she got an opening, then said, "Last time we were here, we didn't get a chance to talk." His gaze shifted to the frustrated Miguel. "But now this time, he will listen."
Miguel slammed the barrier. "I won't accept any demands made by you."
"Look," Peter sighed, "I get that you want to save the universes by sending anomalies away. But I don't want that and you didn't seem like the type to talk peacefully. That's why I did all this. So we can talk. Now, to the main topic."
Peter looked at Miguel seriously, "Thanks to the anomalies you have captured, I've gotten some good things. I now know what you want to do, you want to remove the anomalies from the given universes so that they won't get destroyed. I got it. So, how about letting me and Gwen join your group? We could be very useful. I can even help you to send the anomalies to other dimensions."
"You're an anomaly yourself,You can't help here." Miguel responded sharply.
Peter smiled. "What if I'm not?"
"But you are an anomaly, no matter what you do, it can't change that fact and you're supposed to be dead, that's your canon event and now it's broken." Miguel stated coldly. "So unless you're dead, no matter where you go, you'll live as an anomaly. And how can I believe you when you killed all the other anomalies and ate them?"
Gwen's eyes widened at this revelation, she is looking between Peter and Miguel and her heart was pounding. "What.... What do you mean he's supposed to die?... Peter… is that true? Are you supposed to be dead?"
Peter's gaze softened as he turned to her, his voice was calm but firm. "Yes, Gwen. In our universe, in the so-called canon, I wasn't supposed to make it. Thanks to the anomalies, I have gained some good skills and hacked into their database, so I now know what was supposed to happen."
Gwen removed the mask on her face and stepped closer to Peter as he continued, "Originally, I was supposed to be the lizard... And I was supposed to die... By your hand, accidentally."
Gwen trumbled and her eyes widened, Peter put a hand on her shoulder and continued, "But I merged with symbiote before that and survived. And because I defied the narrative, Miguel thinks I'm a threat to everything."
Jessica took a cautious step forward, still in a defensive stance. "And you don't think you are?" She narrowed her eyes, "Miguel said something about killing the anomalies. If you did kill them. That's makes you dangerous."
"I did not kill them. But what are you going to do about them? Aren't you planning to kill them? And don't try to deny it, I already have the data on what you guys are planning to do with the anomalies." Peter said as he looked at Miguel and Lyla, who is unusually silent.
"You're wrong," Miguel countered. "We're sending them to the void, the dimension outside of time and space."
"I did the same," Peter responded smoothly. "I sent them to a dimension they can't return from (the dimension is inside his stomach)." He said with a smirk. "I've learned the skill to open portals across the multiverse thanks to America. So, I've send them to the void without an issue. I just took their memories and equipment first. Which is why you're now in this prison."
Miguel fell silent. He had known Peter was dangerous, but seeing the extent of what he could do confirmed that this version of Peter Parker was the most dangerous entity they'd ever encountered. He can potentially became a great threat to the entire multiverse.
Gwen's mind raced with all these revelations, but one detail stuck in her head above all others: Peter was supposed to die.... And it was by her hand.
The weight of this knowledge pressed heavily on her consciousness as she stared at the person she knew.
Miguel slammed his hands on the barrier, "No matter what you say, I won't change my mind. You will always be an anomaly. Your existence will bring chaos to the world." His sharp eyes shifted to Layla, who met his gaze but remained silent.
Jessica stood nearby, observing the scene intently. Though quiet, she was discreetly tapping on her watch, sending out a request for backup. Her movements were quite, but Peter already noticed it. He also knew the implications of what she was doing but let her be.
Peter understood he couldn't hold off the Spider Society for long. Sooner or later, they would come for him, and he had no intention of making enemies of them.
He needed their resources, especially to work on a serum that could remove his weakness. But he also knew that escaping wasn't an option unless he acted now. Time was running out.
He turned his attention to Gwen, who stood silently, watching the confrontation unfold.
Slowly, Peter approached her. His voice was calm but firm as he spoke, "Gwen, it seems I only have two choices now," he continued placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "One, I use the portal and go far away—find a universe without a Spider-Man, where no one can track me down."
Gwen's hand instinctively tightened on his as she processed his words, her blue eyes showing fear of loosing him.
"And the second option," Peter continued, "is to bond with you."
Gwen's brow furrowed in confusion. "Bond with me? How is that going to help? We alrea—"
Peter cut her off, "I'm not talking about the bond we had before. I've been studying symbiote biology, and it turns out their bonding process is much more complex than we thought. I dug deeper and discovered a level of connection where the symbiote's soul merges with the host's. It's a bond that can't be severed—by anyone."
A ripple of shock spread through the room. Jessica and Miguel's eyes widened at this revelation. They had no idea such a bond was possible.
"If my guess is correct that will not make me an anomaly anymore, since my life will be literally connected to you."
Peter thought, 'I'm not even sure if this ability exists in normal symbiotes, but thanks to the Great Sage analyzing the bonding process, I can do it. It's risky, but it might be my only shot right now..... There's a downside, though. If the host dies, I die too. But if I bond with multiple hosts, I can survive as long as one of them lives.'
His eyes softened as he looked at Gwen. 'But that doesn't mean I'd ever let anything happen to you.'
Gwen's mind raced as she absorbed his words. Peter's proposal wasn't just a choice—it was a life-altering decision. She knew the risks and the weight of what he was asking her to do.
Peter glanced at his newly formed watch and then back at Gwen. "You can take your time to think about it," he said in a low voice. "But we have about three minutes before all the Spider-People get here."
Miguel's face twisted in anger, and Jessica's fingers twitched, ready to act. Peter smirked, turning to face them. "I know you've already called for backup," he said confidently. "Don't bother denying it." He can already see many Spider-people coming this way.
Thanks to his skill Electromagnetic spectrum manipulation, he can take most of the information in the world and Great sage will filter the information and send only useful info to him.
Suddenly Jessica fired a web at him, but Peter was faster. He pressed a button on his watch, activating an energy barrier that enveloped him and Gwen. The web bounced harmlessly off the shimmering shield.
The watch uses the same technology to make energy barrier. It can also form an energy barrier across his body, this can be used to protect his body from his natural weakness. A temporary solution against his weakness.
Peter turned back to Gwen, "So, what's your choice, Gwen?"
Gwen's gaze fell to the floor, her heart pounding. Seeing her hesitation, Peter gently lifted her chin with his finger, his eyes locking onto hers.
His voice was soft but full of emotion, "Remember, Gwen, no matter what you choose, I want you to know... I've always liked you. No—" he paused slightly, "I love you. I love you very much."
Tears slipped from Gwen's eyes, and she quickly wiping them away. "You idiot," she said with a weak laugh. "If you say things like that, it won't be a choice anyone... and I was trying to hold back my tears. Now look what you've done."
Peter smiled, his thumb gently brushing her cheek to wipe the tears away. "I'm sorry," he whispered.
Gwen placed her hand over his, pressing it softly against her cheek. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. When she opened them, her resolve was clear. "Do it," she said firmly.
Peter's heart raced as he leaned in, capturing her lips in a tender kiss. Gwen responded instantly, wrapping her arms around his neck. The moment felt eternal, as if the whole world around them had melted away.
"Sage," Peter said in his mind. "Begin the bonding."
> Initiating True Bond...
Merging the souls of Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy…
Black tendrils began to form around them, swirling like a living shadow. Slowly, the black substance engulfed both Peter and Gwen, cocooning them in symbiotic energy.
At this moment the energy barrier holding Miguel back shattered as more Spider-People stormed into the room.
The air buzzed with tension as dozens of Spiders surrounded Peter and Gwen. Their faces were a mixture of shock, anger, and fear.
Miguel stepped through the broken barrier with fury blazing in his eyes. "Stop this madness, Peter!" he roared. "Whatever you're doing, it ends now!"
The black substance receded into Peter's body as Sage's voice echoed in his mind.
> True Bonding is completed. Gwen Stacy and Peter Parker are now soul-linked.
Now you have established a connection that can't be broken.
Peter and Gwen opened their eyes, now feeling an intense, almost telepathic connection. They could sense each other's emotions—fear, hope, love—all intertwined.
Miguel's voice boomed through the tension. "Enough! Step away from her, Peter. Whatever this is, it's dangerous. You're putting the multiverse at risk!"
Peter slowly broke the kiss, his hand lingering on Gwen's cheek. He turned to face Miguel, "It's done, Miguel. Gwen and I are truly bonded now. Nothing can separate us—not you, not anyone."
The murmurs among the Spider-People grew louder as Jessica took a cautious step forward. "Peter," she said, her voice tinged with concern, "do you even understand what you've done? This bond… it's not natural. It's dangerous—for both of you."
Peter's gaze sharpened. "Dangerous? Unnatural? That's rich coming from a group that imprisons anomalies and sends them to their deaths. I did this to protect Gwen and myself. Isn't that what being Spider-Man is all about? Protecting the people you care about?"
Gwen stepped forward, standing beside Peter. Her voice was steady and unwavering. "This was my choice, Jessica. Peter didn't force me. He's right—we're stronger together. And if you want to fight him, you'll have to go through me first."
Miguel clenched his fists in frustration "You don't understand what you've done, Gwen. This isn't just about you two. This bond could destabilize entire universes if something goes wrong!"
Peter smirked, his tone laced with defiance. "Destabilize the universe? That's funny coming from you, Miguel. You've been playing god with the multiverse, hunting anomalies like pests. Maybe the real destabilization is you."
The room fell silent, the tension so thick it was almost tangible. Peter's words hung in the air, challenging everything Miguel and the Spider Society stood for.
The room was heavy with silence, the tension palpable as Peter's challenge to Miguel and the Spider Society lingered in the air. Gwen reached for Peter's hand, their fingers intertwining.
As they made contact, a transformation began. Peter's body merged seamlessly with Gwen's, and her white spider suit darkened, morphing into an elegant black with a white spider design on the centre.
"I missed this feeling of being connected to you, Peter," Gwen's voice resonated in Peter's mind in joyful tone.
Peter chuckled softly, responding in kind. "I can feel it too. You're happy—very happy at this moment."
The energy barrier surrounding them dissipated, and as it did, a familiar watch which was worn by Peter materialized on Gwen's wrist.
The device activated immediately, projecting a shimmering energy shield around her body, a protective layer to battle the natural weakness of Peter.
Just as the Spider-People prepared for an inevitable confrontation, Layla appeared at the center, her usual mischievous smirk replaced with a look of urgency. She stepped forward and raised her hand, projecting a hologram into the air.
"Wait everyone... With Peter merging with Gwen, he is no longer classified as an anomaly," Layla stated.
The hologram displayed the web in which Earth-66, the home world of Gwen, shows that the Conan is going smoothly, and the supposed anomaly—had been integrated without destabilizing the multiverse.
Miguel's eyes narrowed as he scanned the data. He grunted and his frustration is evident. "Even if he's no longer an anomaly, he's still a threat to the multiverse."
The room erupted into murmurs, the Spider-People debating among themselves. Some voiced awe at Peter's actions, calling them revolutionary; others expressed wariness.
"Enough!" Miguel roared, silencing the room with a single word. His gaze was sharp as he pointed at Peter. "You are still a threat."
Jessica stepped forward while crossing her arms. "Miguel, you need to let this go. Peter and Gwen didn't break the rules of the multiverse now—they've proven it. You're fighting a battle that doesn't need to be fought."
Others nodded in agreement, their voices rising in support. With great reluctance, Miguel exhaled sharply. His glare shifted to Gwen before he finally said, "Fine. But I'll be watching you, Peter. Always."
A smile curled across Gwen's face, but then her features shifted—a toothy grin appearing where her mouth should have been.
Peter's voice came through, "You're sounding like a stalker, Miguel. If I wanted to wreak havoc, I could've done it already. All I want is to live my life. Leave us alone, and we won't give you a reason to regret it."
The two locked their eyes, the tension crackling between them. Miguel's jaw tightened, but he finally turned away. "Get the hell out of here."
Gwen's grin widened. "With pleasure."
Her mouth faded, her features reverting to normal. She approached Jessica and enveloped her in a hug. "Thank you for everything."
Jessica smiled warmly, returning the hug. "Be careful out there. But, Peter," she teased, "you looked pretty cool back there."
Peter's voice chuckled from Gwen's face as the mouth returned. "Thanks, Jessica. We'll see you around."
They turned around facing the gathered Spider-People, Peter spoke one last time, "Take care, everyone. Maybe next time, we'll fight on the same side."
A star-shaped portal opened behind them, and without hesitation, Gwen leaped through. The portal closed moments later, leaving the room silent once more.
The Spider-People dispersed, their conversations buzzing with admiration and unease.
Miguel remained by the main console, his fists clenched. "Layla, keep an eye on Peter. He's too dangerous to be left unchecked."
Layla perched on his shoulder with an amused expression, "Is it that, or are you just salty because he outsmarted you?"
Miguel's eye twitched, "He ambushed me. That's the only reason he won. In a fair fight, he wouldn't stand a chance."
Layla laughed, "Whatever you say, boss." her teasing tone cutting through the tension.
