It had been three days since Bjorn and the caravan left their village.
It was still an uneventful journey.
All they have done for the past three days are travel, walk, ride the caravan/horse, walk again, eat, set up tents, and sleep in turns.
Bjorn was tasked to guard the caravan during its travels, since all the people there know that Bjorn was rather sensitive to danger.
Currently, they are heading towards a city called Karuna, north of Alf's Royal Forest, to sell some of their wares, bathe, and probably clinch the opportunity to sleep on a soft mattress….
Speaking of locations, to describe the whereabouts of Bjorn's village, it was located in the middle of the city of Solingen and Wishe Forest.
The village is a nice medieval type of village wherein only 500 people reside. Now, these people have many jobs, some are farmers, some are hunters, and some are craftsmen or craftswomen. These people often trade with one another, but most of them trade with nearby villages or cities, such as now.
The caravan that Bjorn is part of is a caravan made to deliver wheat and handicrafts to Orario, since Orario is where the money is.
Going back, the city of Karuna, that they are heading to, is located near a river and is a city that travelers and merchants stop at to rest during their travels. You can say that many merchants set up shop here in order to gain profit. Bjorn and his caravan also came here to sell some of the meat that they have…
The caravan was just 30 kilometers away from the city when they suddenly saw something….
This something is a horde of 21 goblins, standing around a fallen crate of food. Fortunately, there were no corpses nearby, so the victims must have scurried over to Karuna and gathered some reinforcements.
The four falna users (all level 1) with Bjorn also thought about this, so they quietly asked Bjorn.
"Bjorn… I believe we must wait for the reinforcements, they will surely come…"
"I believe it too… But we must still be ready, since variables can arise…"
The four falna users nodded at each other and at Bjorn and decided to slowly back up the caravan and wait for the incoming reinforcements…
They had managed to back away for a few meters when suddenly a deer ran through the plains behind the caravan…. attracting the attention of the goblins.
One of the falna users, the most experienced in the caravan, reacted quickly.
"Hurry! Establish a perimeter around the caravan!"
He then pointed towards two other falna users and tasked them.
"Two of you! Guard each side of the caravan! Make sure that no goblin can go through your line!"
"Yes sir!"
The two falna users went to their position and adapted a defensive stance.
The experienced falna user then tasked Bjorn, who was currently riding Gleip.
"Bjorn! Go! Let loose!"
Bjorn smiled at the experienced man and immediately shouted.
"Gleip! Let's go!"
Bjorn immediately bolted towards the rushing horde of goblins.
Bjorn was excited. This is his first fight against monsters, so he needs to do his best, and hopefully learn something from it.
The goblins, noticing that there is a man on a horse rushing towards them, they immediately adopted a pike formation made up of 8 goblins and their flimsy-made spears… The rest of the goblins continued to rush towards the caravan.
Bjorn, noticing this, immediately thought about how smart these monsters were…
How…. how could they manage to adopt a complex formation….
"Gleip! Remember what we had practiced?"
*Neeiiigh*
The duo continued to rush towards the formation of the goblins.
Seeing this, the goblins laughed at the 'stupidity' of the human.
Ki ki kirik! (Stupid human)
Kirik kirk ki! (Very stupid human and horse)
Ki ki ki ki! (hehehehe)
The distance between the two groups is shortening continuously… This went on until the distance between the two were only 2 meters…
"Now!"
Gleip turned to his left and drifted. This move of his thrown rocks, mud, and dirt all around the formation of goblins. This immediately removed their formation as they were distracted….
The goblins shrieked, shielding their eyes from the onslaught of debris. Bjorn seized the opening, his blade flashing. Two heads rolled before their bodies hit the ground.
Gleip then continued his rush, passing through the group of 6 remaining goblins…
The goblins were annoyed since they thought that what the duo did was cowardly.
Kik! Kirik ki ki! (You fucking human bastards)
Kikikirikik! (Damn it! Formation again!)
Bjorn and Gleip continued to circle the goblin formation, attempting to find a weak point…
The circle that Bjorn and Gleip made continued to get smaller and smaller like a boa constrictor slowly suffocating its prey to death…
The continuous clopping of the horse adds to the uneasiness and nervousness of the goblins.
After a while, Bjorn had found a weakness within the formation. The goblin failed to turn rapidly, exposing a weakness that Bjorn and Gleip wouldn't miss.
"Gleip! Now!"
Gleip turned around in an arc, and went towards the exposed side of the formation, leaving only two goblins and their spear to fend off Bjorn…
Gleip continued to rush towards the two goblins and then…
"Jump!"
Gleip jumped over the two goblins while Bjorn leaned to his right and slashed down.
The two goblins were slashed from the top of their scalp and down to their necks, leaving their brain matter exposed, while their esophagus was left for all to see.
The survivors snarled, their crude weapons trembling as the duo circled like wolves stalking prey.
The remaining goblins, acknowledging that their numbers are continually dwindling down, quickly organized themselves.
Kik (Damn it!)
Kiriririkikik kik! Kikikikikiiik rik! (Scatter Quickly! And attempt to dodge that fucker!)
Bjorn and Gleip continued to circle the goblins…. The goblins scattered and ran around.
Shit. How the fuck are these goblins capable of doing this…
Bjorn had not found a weakness in the group…
After a while, he decided to rush the remaining goblins after formulating plans for contingencies.
"Alright, Gleip, let's rush them."
Bjorn leaned forward on Gleip's head, to be more aerodynamically faster, while his sword was pointed in front.
Gleip continued to rush towards the Goblins, when suddenly these goblins sidestepped…
Anticipating that they would be sidestepping, Bjorn immediately sprung from his position and leaned far towards his right. He then slashed his sword, cutting the torso of a goblin. The others had managed to further evade the slash…
Bjorn and Gleip circled around again, and attempted to look for another opening….
The duo rushed again but this time… one of the goblins threw a spear straight at Bjorn…
Bjorn ducked immediately and leaned onto Gleip's bobbing head… The spear went past his ear, missing it with only an inch.
Another spear was thrown again, aiming to hit Bjorn's left side, but he clung low into Gleip's right side, avoiding the projectile….
This time, another spear was thrown, aiming for Bjorn while he was clinging… so he did the right thing, he let go of Gleip's side and landed while rolling on the ground.
Bjorn then adapted a defensive stance, with his sword being clutched by both of his hands, pointing downwards to the right.
The two groups stared at each other…
Acknowledging that the human would not come towards them, they rushed towards Bjorn.
Bjorn then positioned himself wisely to the left, so that the goblin on that side would reach him first.
The left goblin reached Bjorn immediately and attempted to stab its short sword towards Bjorn, but Bjorn deflected it with an upward slash, resulting in the goblin being knocked back.
Bjorn then ducked in order to dodge the incoming stab from the right. He ducked to the point that his face was at least a foot from the ground, and his knees were bent to no avail. He also positioned his sword in his left shoulder, still clutching the sword with both his hands.
He then spun to the right, using the right foot as the pivot, he consequently slashed upwards, splitting the torso of the right goblin. He then faced the two remaining goblins.
The metallic smell of blood permeated through the air. Bjorn's pants showed splashes of blood. Bits and pieces of the dead goblin hang stubbornly onto the broad of his sword.
Bjorn then took a step back, making it so that his left foot was in front and his right foot at the back. He then adapted the same defensive stance that he was doing, both hands on sword pointed downwards to the right.
Looking at the lifeless corpse of their friend, the goblins were angered. They rushed towards Bjorn.
Bjorn adopted an unnatural calm, despite the anger of the goblins.
Once the goblins are near, Bjorn then slashed upwards to the goblin in his left… but he stopped in the middle, he then continued the path of his sword by lunging to the goblin in his right and then he stabbed his sword, which penetrated the head of the goblin, through its nose.
The goblin to the left of Bjorn attempted to slash him but….
A rocket named Gleip came crashing through, trampling the poor goblin and forfeiting its life.
Bjorn caught his breath for a moment. It was the first time he had faced monsters, and it quite gave him a scare. However, his preparations still stood up regardless of the situation. He had trained for this, and he delivered it.
He then slashed his sword to his right in order to remove the remaining flesh and blood on his sword. He then sheaths it and looks towards the incoming horse.
Bjorn showed him a big thumbs up indicating that Gleip did a great job.
*Neiiiigh*
"Yeah yeah, I'll give you some carrots and hay later okay?"
*Neigh*

Good day my fellow people. Just a heads up, I don't think I can post something tomorrow since my country, the Philippines, will be hit by a super typhoon.... Yeah. Electricity and data will be down tomorrow until Sunday I think...
Moving on, I'm gonna ask you guys… how's the action sequence? I have some background in martial arts but I do not have anything regarding swords hahaha…. So… please tell me how it went. Thank you!!!!!
