The Janissaries, tearing off the clothes of young Osman, still not satisfied with their anger, took off his turban, mounted him on a donkey, and paraded him through the ancient streets of Istanbul, where Fatih Sultan Mehmet's grandson, Osman, was publicly humiliated.
"What happened? Did you think you could overthrow us Janissaries just because you're the Sultan? Let everyone see what happens to those who mess with the Janissaries, even if they are Sultan."
A young boy on the street asks his father,
"Father, why did the Janissaries revolt?"
"The Sultan is young and inexperienced. He thought that by relying only on his title, he could suppress the Janissaries. He believes that these bloodsuckers of the people will allow him to abolish the corps."
As Osman was brought to the Middle Mosque, rebels threw a rope around his neck to strangle him. But they were stopped by other Janissary commanders.
In unison, many of the Janissary commanders shouted,
"We will not allow you to kill the Sultan!"
"We will not allow you to kill the Sultan!"
"The Grand Vizier is coming!!"
When Kara Davut Pasha realized that the Janissary commanders would not tolerate the Sultan's murder, he tried to calm them, saying,
"I promise you, the Sultan will not be killed. Take him immediately to the Seven Towers dungeon."
Osman swore that if he could escape the Seven Towers dungeon, he would take revenge on Kara Davut Pasha and the Janissaries.
He was placed in the back of a cart and taken to the dungeon, as though he were being transported like a mere piece of goods.
"Enter inside, Your Majesty," said the traitor Nazuh, who had killed Ali Ağa, mockingly pushing Osman into the dungeon.
That evening, Osman, the Kayser-i Rûm, Islamic Caliph, Emîrü'l-mü'minîn, and servant of the two holy mosques, was murdered deep within the dungeon. At least, in another alternative version of history...
