With a sudden and vicious motion, a bite tore through the flesh, sinking a full three inches deep and wrenching the entire neck asunder. Yet, the body remained upright, propped up by a grotesque, hunchbacked ratman that clung to its front. Blood spurted from the gaping wound, and the ratman, with a ravenous glint in its beady eyes, flung open its hideous maw, eager to catch the crimson torrent. Its throat undulated greedily as it gulped down the warm liquid, the sharpness of its pupils betraying an insatiable hunger. When the flow of blood finally waned, it released its grip with a disgruntled hiss.
