<Would you like to corrupt the Baital?>
Anhita chimed again, this time more urgent. The beast's soul was quickly departing.
'It really isn't a historia then.'
Kai tried to raise his arm but winced out of pain. It was still far too mangled.
Closing his eyes, he tried to force his fire out. For some reason, it was harder for him when he couldn't raise his hand. Magic must have some connections to muscle memory then.
Focusing on his arm, he imagined fire coursing through his veins. A flash of pain caused him to open his eyes and gasp. His arm jerked despite its injuries.
The fire coursing through his arm created a pleasurable kind of pain. One that burned Kai but enticed him at the same time. Studying his arm more, he found something fascinating.
It was repairing itself.
Nothing substantial, but it seemed like the fire coursing through his arm was repairing tendons. With great effort, he managed to raise his arm.
