The tension in the air thickened as Seiji began to walk forward, each step imbued with an undeniable authority. The ground trembled beneath him, as though bowing to his command. With a single glance, the earth obeyed, erupting into massive spears of stone and energy that shot up toward the demon.
The demon leapt into the air, his form a streak of dark smoke as the spears pursued him relentlessly. He evaded effortlessly, his movements fluid and precise, but the moment he dodged one set of spears, another barrage materialized above him, descending with equal fury.
From above, the demon smirked. "Is this all you've got?"
Seiji's voice was calm yet commanding. "You're not facing a human opponent. No matter where you run, the cosmos itself bends to my will."
The demon's grin widened, his eyes glowing with mischief. With a casual flick of his fingers, he unleashed Baam Slash Thread, the invisible lines of destruction carving through the onslaught of spears with surgical precision. Each spear shattered into fragments, disintegrating mid-air.
Yet, before he could revel in his victory, the shattered fragments regenerated almost instantly, reforming into new spears that surged toward him again.
The demon raised an eyebrow. "Interesting," he murmured, darting through the relentless barrage. "Persistent, aren't we?"
Realizing the futility of destroying the spears, the demon altered his approach. With a burst of speed, he descended rapidly toward the ground. Just as his feet were about to touch, the spears erupted once more, aimed to impale him.
But the demon was prepared. A sly grin spread across his face as he invoked a sudden shift in reality. In an instant, he and Seiji swapped places, the demon now standing safely on the ground while Seiji was caught mid-motion within his own trap.
The spears paused, hesitating for the briefest moment, before disappearing altogether. Seiji was forced to retract his manipulation, landing gracefully a few steps away from the demon.
The Demon's Gambit.
"Not bad," Seiji admitted, his tone unwavering. "But you're running out of tricks."
The demon chuckled darkly, raising two fingers to his face. He muttered an incantation in an ancient, guttural tone that resonated with raw power—a summoning command from the depths of Hell itself. The air grew heavy, pulsating with dark energy as the ground cracked beneath him.
But as the summoning circle began to form, it flickered and fizzled out, dissipating into nothingness.
The demon's grin faltered for the first time, his glowing eyes narrowing. "Tch. Annoying. It seems this body still limits my reach."
Seiji seized the opportunity, stepping forward with an aura of unshakable authority. He raised both hands toward the heavens, his 32 Marks of God glowing brighter with every passing moment.
"Then let's see how far you can reach," Seiji declared.
With a thunderous roar, the skies split open, and a massive meteor descended with terrifying speed. Its surface burned with cosmic energy, glowing red-hot as it tore through the atmosphere. The sheer size of the meteor blotted out the sky, casting an ominous shadow over the battlefield.
The demon's eyes gleamed with excitement rather than fear. "A meteor? Not bad," he sneered. "But aren't you overreaching? That'll drain you dry, old man."
Seiji didn't flinch. As the meteor hurtled closer, he flicked his fingers once more, and the colossal rock began to reshape itself mid-flight. Its fiery mass condensed, twisting into a streamlined, spear-like form. Its surface pulsed with a radiant energy, glowing with raw power.
The demon's grin returned as he observed the transformation. "A pretty toy," he said. "Let's see if it can land."
The newly-formed staff spear hurtled downward with unrelenting force, tearing through the air as it raced toward the demon. The ground quaked under the sheer pressure of its descent, the sound of its approach a deafening roar.
The demon extended a hand, channeling Jin's abilities with an eerie precision. His voice rang out, commanding and absolute:
"Be Gone."
A gravitational wave rippled from his fingertips, tearing through space and colliding with the descending staff spear. The sheer force of his command obliterated the weapon, scattering its fragments across the battlefield in an explosive display of light and energy.
The arena trembled as the shockwave subsided, leaving a crater where the meteor spear had been. The demon chuckled, dusting his hands off. "Impressive effort," he said. "But you'll need more than that to—"
"Look again," Seiji interrupted, his voice calm and measured.
The demon's smile faltered as he noticed the ground beneath him shifting. From the very earth, the shattered fragments of the meteor began to reassemble, reforming into an even larger and more menacing spear.
The demon raised an eyebrow, his amusement giving way to a flicker of annoyance. "Clever," he admitted.
Seiji's lips curled into a faint smile. "You forget, demon. The 32 Marks of God allow me to rewrite reality itself. That spear will regenerate as long as I will it."
The demon's laughter echoed across the battlefield. "You really don't know when to quit, do you?"
The reshaped spear surged upward from the ground, its radiant energy crackling like lightning as it honed in on the demon. But the demon didn't retreat. Instead, he crouched low, his eyes narrowing as he prepared his next move.
