From the moment he summoned the Giant-Winged Dragonfly, Hattori knew it would be fast—at least as swift as a hawk or similar birds of prey. Yet when the creature actually took flight, he realized he had still underestimated its speed.
Within seconds, the dragonfly's velocity reached its peak, and the wind whipped so fiercely against him that he could barely keep his eyes open, his cheeks stinging from the blast.
In this high-speed flight, he had no choice but to stand up, channeling a significant amount of chakra through his feet to improve his grip. Still, he didn't ask the dragonfly to slow down; instead, he shouted encouragement.
"Yes, that's it! Keep it up, buddy! At this rate, we won't have to wait until dawn to deliver our gift to Iwagakure. Haha!"
Seemingly spurred by his praise, the Giant-Winged Dragonfly surged forward, accelerating further. The roaring sound of its flight grew louder, startling the small desert animals below, which scrambled into their burrows in terror.
The stillness of the desert night was shattered, but Hattori didn't care. Standing atop the dragonfly, his mind was entirely focused on his attack plan.
"The noise of this dragonfly is way too much; sneaking in covertly is impossible. The best approach is to exploit our speed and aerial advantage, using explosive tags for a bombing run to create maximum chaos, then make a quick exit once the attention is diverted…"
His plan was straightforward. Hattori knew he wasn't a strategic genius, so sticking to simple tactics was his best chance of avoiding mistakes. As for the outcome—he wasn't too concerned about that.
"I'll do my best and leave the rest to fate. Dragonfly, faster!"
"Boom!"
With his command, the dragonfly's speed increased by another 30%, and with a thunderous roar, it shot across the desert and rocky plains, crossing into the Land of Earth.
Such a tremendous commotion naturally alerted Iwagakure's scouts, who quickly dispatched hawks to carry the news back to the village. But it was futile.
The dragonfly was several times faster than the hawks, and before they could reach the village, Hattori was already above Iwagakure.
Looking down at the village nestled in the rocky mountains, a flash of admiration crossed Hattori's eyes.
"To have built a ninja village in such harsh conditions, Ōnoki really is something else. In honor of your tenacity, let's start with your Tsuchikage's office!"
With that, he pulled out a puppet scroll from his back and ordered the dragonfly below.
"Buddy, dive toward that building with the emblem on it! Time to deliver Iwagakure's gift!"
"Boom…"
The dragonfly's wings vibrated intensely as it transitioned from level flight to a steep 45-degree dive. In less than two seconds, they were closing in on the Tsuchikage's building.
Prepared, Hattori unfurled his puppet scroll and released dozens of explosive puppets.
"Come out, Ōnoki, and eat dirt!"
With a shout, the dragonfly completed its dive, quickly pulling up and soaring skyward. Meanwhile, the Tsuchikage's building below exploded with dozens of bright flames, illuminating the night sky over Iwagakure.
"BOOM…"
The massive explosion drowned out the roar of the dragonfly's flight and jolted the entire village awake.
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!"
"There's an air assault—everyone, get out of your homes!"
"Where is Lord Tsuchikage?!"
Much like Sunagakure before it, Iwagakure fell into chaos as its own village came under attack, creating an opportunity for Hattori.
"People of Iwagakure, feel the wrath of Sunagakure's Ninja!"
He hurled another wave of explosive puppets into the crowd below, further fueling the panic. Amid the chaos, the village erupted once again with flashes of red flames in the night.
"BOOM…"
Explosions, screams, and cries blended together, just like in Sunagakure.
Watching the destruction, Hattori's face grew somber.
"This cursed world really does turn people into monsters. But to protect the ones I care about most, this is the path I must take!"
Resolute, he set aside any hesitation or pity. Gripping his puppet scroll, he prepared to strike again.
"Anyone who tries to stop me will face the consequences!"
With that, he unleashed another barrage of explosive puppets, hurling them toward a group of shinobi arriving from the other side of the village.
"BOOM…"
With each explosion, Hattori's vision was filled with a purple notification screen—

Questions flooded his mind, but before he could find an answer, a spine-chilling hum filled his ears.
"Buzz, buzz, buzz…"
Hattori's expression immediately changed.
"It's Iwagakure's Sacred Crane Clan. This is trouble. Buddy, quick—"
Before he could say "run," the dragonfly beneath him surged forward, diving straight into the swarm of bees.
Hattori: ╭(°A°`)╮
What's going on here? Panic?
Just as Hattori braced himself for an onslaught, something unexpected happened. The Giant-Winged Dragonfly opened its mouth and inhaled, swallowing hundreds of bees in one gulp. Within seconds, thousands of bees had become its meal.
The remaining bees, realizing they were no match, began to flee. But the dragonfly quickly caught up and devoured them all within seconds.
Hattori, seeing this, was momentarily stunned before bursting out laughing.
"Haha, so you were just hungry and looking for a snack! Nicely done, these guys owed Sunagakure plenty of lives!"
Clutching his puppet scroll again, he pointed in the direction from which the bee swarm had come.
"Fly that way, buddy! Today, let's settle the score!"
