Kapitel 20: Epilogue

Chapter End: The Aftermath

The familiar hum of fluorescent lights buzzed in Tech Haven as Marcus, Rebecca, and James gathered by the counter. James leaned against the display case, exhausted but relieved to finally be back in his own skin.

Before he could say a word, Rebecca rushed over and planted a kiss on his lips—firm, urgent, and filled with emotion. The moment he started to respond, she pulled back and slapped him across the face.

"That's for making me think you were dead!" she snapped, glaring at him.

James winced, rubbing his cheek. "Yeah, uh... Sorry about that."

"Man," Marcus chimed in, crossing his arms with a grin, "you're officially a superhero now. But that exit, with the police chasing you out of the carnival? Not exactly a graceful finish, dude."

"Hey, I just saved a bunch of people," James protested. "They could've at least let me leave with some dignity."

Rebecca gave him a knowing look. "They don't do that, remember? You're either a hero or a public menace. No middle ground."

They all chuckled, the tension melting away as Marcus and Rebecca plopped onto the nearest chairs. For a moment, it felt like they were just three friends hanging out—normal, ordinary.

But the memory of the fight lingered, and James's expression grew serious. "Kain... He just exploded in front of me. Kind of." he said quietly. "One second we were fighting, the next... gone. I don't even know how it happened."

Rebecca and Marcus exchanged glances, trying to wrap their heads around it. "You think he's really gone?" Rebecca asked.

"I have no idea," James admitted, leaning back against the counter. "And honestly? I don't care right now."

"Same," Marcus muttered. "Let's call it a day. I've had enough life-or-death situations for one week."

James gave a tired laugh. "Agreed. I think we all deserve some sleep."

The three friends shared a look, a quiet acknowledgment of everything they'd been through, before heading their separate ways.

Homecoming

When James reached his apartment door, he frowned. It was unlocked.

"Dammit, Marcus," he grumbled under his breath, cursing his friend for being so careless.

He pushed the door open and stepped inside, flipping on the light.

His heart stopped.

Standing in the middle of the room, arms crossed, was a bald man in a black trench coat, with an eyepatch covering one eye. His presence filled the room with quiet authority.

The man's single, piercing eye locked onto James.

"You have a bad habit of disappearing into thin air, James Carter," the stranger said coolly. "My name is Nick Fury. Director of SHIELD."

James stood frozen, his mind racing.

Fury took a step forward, his gaze unwavering. "I'm here to talk to you about something important. I have a plan... and it's called the Avengers Initiative."

Post-Credit Scene: Fractures

The broken expanse of the mirror dimension lay in eerie silence, fragments of shattered reality floating aimlessly. Ripples pulsed through the space, cracks refusing to heal from the otherworldly power unleashed here.

Through the swirling mist, a shadowy figure emerged. Cloaked in darkness, he moved with purpose, his hands gliding over the shattered remnants of the Heart of Typhon, still faintly glowing with malevolent energy.

The figure traced his fingers along the remnants of magic, a faint smile forming. "Ancient power... older than gods," he muttered, his tone dripping with intrigue.

As the distorted air quivered around him, the figure turned toward the fractures in space. His eyes gleamed, filled with intent. "This is only the beginning," he whispered to the void.

With a flourish of magic, the figure stepped through a portal.

Just before it closed, the darkness whispered a name:

Mordo.

Alright. Finally Done. First Arc is finished.

So, how did you like it? As it is fairly obvious this is all Ai written, so I can see a lot of mistakes in this. Especially when it comes things making sense.

However, in the next arc, I had a plan. So it is better executed. Hell, you will see that it's actually way better.

Anyways, do give me some reviews, please? I will help.

Peace.
