Kapitel 48: When You Love Someone

Ashley went back home in a slightly muddled state. Simon's message seemed to have taken a toil on her. It kept reminding her of things she did not want to remember.

She sighed upon realizing that Nathan was not home. Oddly, she had gotten used to his presence in the villa during the past couple of days. The man who was always absent had suddenly become present in her life and it made her feel tingly all over.

She caught sight of a peach blossoms in a vase and her eyes lit up. She rushed over to them, her eyes bright with vigor. Whatever state Simon's message seemed to have put her in disappeared at the sight of her favorite flowers.

She pursed her lips at the note on the table. Recognizing the familiar handwriting of her husband's, she began to feel giddy all over. A flash of realization hit her at this. How was she so familiar with Nathan's handwriting?
