Kapitel 4: TERMINATION FEE
Shen jia had just gotten home when she received a call from her so called manager.
Looking down at the strings of numbers on her phone, she searched her mind extensively trying to remember everything she knew about this manager of hers.
After searching through her mind she realized that he was just a manager by name and never truly taken her as an artiste under him. He gave her all types of shady resources that would supress her instead of promote. And even if she were to be given a slightly better resources she would always act as a villian in the movie leaving her a short-lived and a bad impression to the audience so she practically had no fans but only haters.
For an artist being hated was bad but being forgotten was even worst and she practically had both!.
Shen jia was so lost in thought that she completely forgot the phone ringing loudly in her hands until it stopped. It rang again drawing her back to the present, she unhurriedly picked it up and brought it to her ear.
The roar from the other end startled, she was so shocked she forgot how to speak. Being a top assassin for so long she had gotten used to people fearing and respecting her so she wasn't used to people scolding her so much.
"Are you deaf or you are simply dump can't you are saying what I'm saying. I want you at work tomorrow before noon or else prepare to pay for your termination fee" he said loudly before cutting the call.
Shen jia stared a little longer at her phone before putting it down as a sinister looking smile crept lips, 'he wanted her to pay for a termination fee then so be it" she thought with a malicious glint in her eyes.
If she needed to get her life back in track then she needed to cut of all ties with the Shen family and leaving Shining star entertainment company was part of it. Although they didn't own the company, they still had almost absolute right causing to suffer for so long.
But if she needed to leave the company she would need money to pay for the termination fee but how much? Thinking about this she picked up her phone again scrolling through her contact list before stopping at a name 'Zhu bao'.
She had recovered her memory completely so of course she knew this name. Although everyone in her company treated her badly there were still a few exceptions and this girl was one of them. They had both signed their contract together and at the beginning the company had welcome her wholeheartedly but later run they suddenly disregarded her and focused on the newbies rising up so she was just stucked as a b-list artist with no means or resources to go further.
Some had said maybe she had offended a bigshot in the entertainment industry, while others said she had no real acting skills and just depended on sleeping around for the few resources and after those big investors had gotten tired of her they abandoned her but only Shen jia knew the secret behind the company abandoning her.
One year ago the real boss of Shining star entertainment had taken an interest in her but she had refused his advances so he directly shut her out leading to her current situation as a b-list artist.
And since both of them were facing similar issues of being abandoned by the company they unknowingly became good friends.
Although it was just past eight she still hoped Zhu bao would be awake cause she she knew her habits of sleeping very early, she called'her beauty sleep' Shen jia thought with a small smile.
After entering her WeChat dozens of messages flooded into her WeChat before her eyes but she directly ignored it scrolling down she also found Zhu boa message among those dozens of messages. Tapping on her name she read the content of her message.
