While Fu Lin wasn't paying attention, Fu Shi sneaked a piece of meat from his bowl and happily stuffed it into her mouth.
"Hey, why are you stealing my meat? I'm going to eat yours now." Fu Lin, noticing a missing slice of meat, took a piece from Fu Shi's bowl, but just as he was about to eat it, Fu Shi snatched it up and swallowed it in one bite.
"Hmm hmm hmm~" Fu Shi smirked at Fu Lin, chewing triumphantly.
"..." Fu Lin looked at his empty chopsticks and Fu Shi's smug expression, unable to hold back any longer.

When Fu Shi picked up a piece of chicken leg, Fu Lin quickly seized the chance to take a bite too, happily enjoying the food he "stole" from her.
"How annoying! Watch my hungry tiger pounce move! You can't catch me! roar~"
With that, Fu Lin grabbed an egg and popped it into his mouth, giving Fu Shi a smug look.
"Hmph, to catch the thief, you must first seize their leader. Attack the backline first!"
"…You actually took my sausage!"
"So what? Stolen food just tastes better~" Fu Shi took a big bite of the sausage she snatched and looked at Fu Lin triumphantly.
"…You've shown no mercy, so don't blame me for doing the same!"
Thus, a strange scene unfolded: they snatched food back and forth, neither willing to yield.
"Young people sure know how to have fun," the shop owner remarked as he watched.
"Boss, another bowl, please!"
Some time later...
"Burp... I'm so full," Fu Shi said contentedly, rubbing her slightly bloated stomach.
"Yeah, I'm stuffed," Fu Lin leaned back in his chair, looking like he didn't want to move.
"Wasn't it because you kept stealing my food?" Fu Shi shot a disdainful glance at Fu Lin.
"Ha! The great Herrscher of Sentience herself can't even win against a mere mortal like me," Fu Lin teased sarcastically.
"I... I was just letting you have it..." Fu Shi turned her head away, refusing to look at Fu Lin's smug expression.
"Boss, the bill, please," Fu Lin said, slowly getting up.
The shop owner came out from the kitchen, looking at the table full of empty dishes. Wiping sweat off his forehead, it was the first time he'd seen customers who could eat so much.
"Let me count... The total bill is..." The owner started counting the dishes and utensils.
"Wait, one more order of fried tofu to-go," Fu Shi chimed in upon hearing that they were leaving, sliding over to Fu Lin.
"…"
The payment process was swift and seamless.
"Hope to see you again!" The owner waved at the group.
"Here's your fried tofu," Fu Lin tossed the packed tofu to Fu Shi, checked the time on his phone, then pulled Fu Shi along as they headed toward the marketplace.
"Wait for me! Don't leave me behind!" Fu Shi struggled to keep up, holding the bag of fried tofu.
"Let's go," Yae Sakura gently hugged Fu Shi, following closely behind Fu Lin while curiously taking in the surrounding scenery.
"Big Sis, you're the best," Fu Shi said, holding on to Sakura's arms.
...
"Fu Lin, this place is so lively! There must be lots of fun things to do!" Fu Shi excitedly shook Fu Lin's arm as she looked around at the bustling crowds and the endless calls of vendors.
Fu Lin pulled his arm away, nodded in agreement, and handed some cash to Fu Shi, telling her to go play as she pleased.
With cash in hand, Fu Shi ran off into the crowd without a word, disappearing from sight—only to return moments later.
She looked at Yae Sakura behind Fu Lin and said, "Why don't you both come with me? It's boring to play alone."
Before Yae Sakura could reply, Fu Shi grabbed her hand and disappeared into the crowd once more.
You have to admit, kids are kids; they're naturally playful.
Seeing this heartwarming scene, Fu Lin smiled contentedly and couldn't help but muse, "Fu Hua, Fu Hua, do you see this? This is how you properly take care of a kid. I hope you take a good look at the parenting manual I gave you."
Meanwhile, Fu Hua, somewhere, sneaking away to hide her book, "…"
Fu Lin casually chose a clothing store, planning to get the team uniforms he had in mind, but the moment he stepped inside, he felt he might have made a hasty decision.
"Oh my, little brother, it's been so long~! I knew you wouldn't die so easily—good fortune protects the blessed, after all. To think I'd run into you again! This must be fate!"
Fu Lin's lips twitched as he looked at the woman before him. He never expected to encounter the owner of the doll shop from Nagazora city here.
"Surprised to see me, aren't you? Do you want to know why I'm here?" The shop owner suddenly stepped closer, startling Fu Lin. He quickly backed away, holding his hands crossed in front of his chest, as if worried she might devour him.
"Yeah, I'm surprised. Why are you here?" Fu Lin was genuinely puzzled. This shop owner looked like a regular person—there was no way she could have survived the Honkai disaster.
"Oh, after you took the plushies, I had an urgent matter and flew out overnight. Then I heard that a massive earthquake struck Nagazora City, and there were no survivors. How terrifying."
"...You don't look scared at all," Fu Lin remarked, noticing how she was staring intently at him.
"Ah, let's not talk about that. Little brother, what are you here to buy this time? Or have you finally decided... to buy me?" The shop owner leaned closer to Fu Lin, but he immediately pushed her away. She gave him a wistful look.
"I came to order some custom clothes. Seems I walked into the wrong shop," Fu Lin said, turning to leave. But the shop owner grabbed his shirt, stopping him.
"You're not in the wrong place! I sell clothes too!"
"Aren't you a doll shop owner?"
"Yes, I am."
"But I'm ordering clothes…" Fu Lin was confused. What did buying clothes have to do with dolls?
"Hahaha~ Oh, little brother, you're so naive. Don't dolls need clothes too?"
"There are people who love dressing up dolls and figurines as anime characters to satisfy their own desires. They often come to me for custom outfits, especially one blonde customer who's a regular."
"Sorry, I've been rambling. So, what kind of clothes do you need?" The shop owner realized she had gone off on a tangent and quickly corrected herself.
"...I think I really have... walked into the wrong shop this time," Fu Lin muttered, finally understanding that this place was anything but normal.
"Don't go! Give me your design. I guarantee you'll be satisfied," the shop owner called out as Fu Lin prepared to leave.
"Alright then. Do you have a pen and paper?"
"Of course. Here you go..." She handed him the materials, surprised to see Fu Lin ready to sketch on the spot.
Recalling the outfit design in his mind, Fu Lin began drawing on the paper. As he worked, the shop owner couldn't help but praise him repeatedly.
"Make ten pieces based on this design," Fu Lin instructed.
"What a great drawing! Wow, are you planning to start some kind of organization?" she asked, looking at the detailed notes on the sketches.
"Of course not. I'm just a regular guy; starting an organization is way beyond me. This is simply for cosplay," Fu Lin replied with a straight face, as if that were truly his intention.
"Alright, I was thinking of joining if that were the case," the shop owner teased.
"Stop joking, big sister," Fu Lin waved his hand dismissively. If it weren't for her playful tone, he might have believed she was serious.
"Well, joining a secret organization would be so cool," she said as she walked past Fu Lin, her voice sincere.
"Hahaha… It would be cool, but you have such a sharp tongue," Fu Lin replied with an awkward laugh, watching her retreating figure.
