Kapitel 40: Ch-40 Three seconds to kill you!

There are gods in this world.

And where there are gods, there must be divine retribution.

Devastating lightning consumed the horrible, split versions of Cassandra. They screamed as they were charred in the sea of thunder and shattered into nothingness.

Did he win?

No.

Russell's face darkened. The system hadn't announced a plundering.

He turned abruptly, his eyes fixed on a faint, almost transparent shadow. It was hovering where Cassandra had first split!

This was no trick.

Russell's mind clicked. The moment Cassandra entered the world of consciousness, she had already split herself. She had never been whole!

And when she had seen the power of Thor and the might of the Mind Palace, she had known that her defeat was certain.

The Cassandra trapped in the Mind Barrier earlier?

Real.

The baby Cassandra from before? Also real.

Any form she took was a distraction. Her goal was to escape with part of her mental body before her complete defeat.

Russell snorted coldly and stared at the dissipating phantom without fear.

"With only half your strength left, what can you do in the real world?" he growled.

"This game is over. I've won!"

Back in the Real World.

Classic Loki lay helplessly on the ground, his body struggling to move. He watched as the madwoman plunged her hand into Kid Loki's brain, draining him.

Gritting his teeth, he tried to summon the green energy in his palms to attack her.

But before he could act, a familiar pressure filled the air.

Small streaks of lightning began to crawl across the Kid loki's body.

"Brother!" Classic Loki gasped, his eyes wide with shock.

There was no mistaking it - this was Thor's power!

President Loki, who had been pretending to be dead, couldn't help but look back. What he saw made his blood freeze.

The once-dying Loki glowed with an aura of terrifying power, the kind that strikes fear into the soul.

Before Cassandra could react, a blinding thunderbolt engulfed her, hurling her charred body across the roof.

Only a second had passed in the real world, though it felt like an eternity in the spiritual realm.

President Loki shook violently, his knees hitting the ground as he shouted, "Thor! You are Thor!"

Then, groveling, he stammered, "No-wait! Brother, I was wrong! I didn't mean to betray you!"

The green light around Russell faded, revealing his true form. Ignoring President Loki's desperate pleas, Russell turned his attention to Cassandra's charred body.

"You're finished, Cassandra," he said coldly.

"There is no difference between the mind and reality. You've lost."

But Cassandra wasn't finished.

Her body ripped open, revealing fresh flesh and blood beneath.

She stood up, her face grotesque and skeletal, and grinned wickedly.

"Of course I know I can't kill you with half my strength!" she sneered.

"But you forget... this is the Void, baby. I'm not alone."

Her words were ominous, and her eyes turned white as if she were summoning something.

Classic Loki's face paled as he looked to the sky.

Dark clouds had gathered, glowing with crimson lightning.

"Alioth," he muttered grimly.

President Loki was on the verge of tears, too scared to run, but too scared to stay.

Cassandra, now fully regenerated, reached out and grabbed classic Loki by the neck, lifting him effortlessly.

"You recover quickly, old man," she taunted.

"But illusion magic won't save you!"

Suddenly, a searing blade of magma-red energy sliced through the air, severing her arm clean off!

"You think I'm just going to stand here?" Russell snapped, his eyes blazing with determination.

The storm thickened. A thunderbolt as thick as a tree trunk fell from the sky.

Cassandra's body twisted unnaturally, dodging.

Casandra's body twisted unnaturally, dodging the blow like a marionette on invisible strings.

Russell wasted no time. Summoning a sling ring, he attempted to open an escape portal.

But before it could fully form, the portal fizzled.

Cassandra chuckled darkly and raised her other hand. On it was a sling ring with the Reality Stone embedded in it, glowing crimson.

"Nice try," she grinned.

"But my sling ring is far superior. You're not going anywhere."

Russell's eyes darted to Alioth, the monstrous creature rapidly approaching.

If he didn't deal with Cassandra now, classic Loki wouldn't survive.

His expression hardened.

"Since you refuse to take the chance I gave you," he said coldly.

"Three seconds. That's all I need to kill you!"

Cassandra laughed mockingly.

"So confident," she sneered.

"But why should I fight you directly? All I have to do is stall. Once the monster arrives, you will lose."

Russell wasted no breath on her taunts. Thor's power surged and storm armor enveloped his body in a flash of lightning.

The ground shook as he hurled himself at Cassandra, a streak of blinding light.

Cassandra's telekinesis flared, pushing her body aside just as he reached her.

Effortlessly, she dodged his strike.

Russell didn't care. He wasn't trying to hit her - he just needed to get close.

As he passed, a wave of searing red flames erupted from his body like a supernova.

The flames roared, consuming everything in their path, and Cassandra, who had been smirking seconds earlier, disappeared into the inferno.

Kapitel 41: Ch-41 Cassandra's Death.

On the roof, President Loki screamed as he noticed the air distorting and scrambled for cover.

Classic Loki's scalp prickled with fear. Without hesitation, he conjured a green magical barrier with both hands to block the flames.

Both Loki understood one thing: to be burned by those flames meant instant death.

The surface temperature of the sun is 5,500 degrees Celsius - enough to vaporize human flesh. But Russell's flames, fueled by his flame blood, were even hotter: a searing 7,000 degrees. At that moment, it was as if a miniature sun had appeared on the roof.

But the next moment, instead of expanding, the sun collapsed inward.

Russell was using his ability to compress the flame. While the original Pyro could barely raise the temperature a few hundred degrees, Russell took it to the next level.

The temperature skyrocketed to nearly 10,000 degrees, and the color of the flame changed to blue-white. At that temperature, even steel would vaporize instantly.

A second later, the sun was extinguished.

Nothing remained but the floating Reality Stone.

Russell, who had been moving nimbly, shot out magic spider silk to pull himself back to the roof.

President Loki ran toward him with a flattering smile. But before he could speak, Russell's dagger pierced his heart.

President Loki stared in shock, but his hand shot out at Russell in retaliation. Undeterred, Russell slashed the dagger to the side, severing Loki's left arm and shoulder.

"You are not Loki," Classic Loki said, his face grim. "You are possessed!"

The flames had destroyed Cassandra's body, but her spirit had escaped and possessed President Loki.

The possessed Loki grinned maliciously. "You can't kill me, Russell!"

"Is that so?" Russell asked, smiling calmly. "You're waiting for Alioth, but have you asked yourself what I'm waiting for?"

Cassandra frowned, unsure of his meaning.

Russell's smile widened. "Looks like you're not as smart as you think. That whole 'three seconds to kill you' thing? A bluff. I wanted you to waste time, not escape. Otherwise, I'd have a much harder time dealing with you."

The realization dawned on Cassandra and she screamed, "Impossible! I'm not dead yet!"

Russell's grin turned cold. "Half of you is already gone."

At that moment, a notification sounded in his mind.

[Entry Plundering has been completed!]

[Mutant Ability - Mind Power (Incomplete) -Powerful telekinesis, mental projection, possession, cellular repair, and more.]

Russell unleashed his mind power, targeting Loki's brain and completely sealing Cassandra's mind inside. Without the ability to leave the host body, she would die with it.

Loki panicked. Cassandra tried to escape, but Russell's mind power was too strong, especially after it merged with the part she'd lost earlier. She was trapped. There was no way out.

"Any last words?" Russell asked, staring into Loki's eyes as if he saw Cassandra's twisted face inside.

Cassandra smiled as blood spilled from her mouth. "Death is only eternal sleep for me. But you, my successor," she cackled madly, "I curse you to never know peace. I'll haunt your mind every midnight. You'll be the next me!"

Russell looked unimpressed. "Is that so?" His smile turned mocking. "Haven't you noticed that my mental power lacks madness?"

Cassandra froze, then focused, only to realize that he was right.

Her grin faded, replaced by anger. "No! How could you give up madness? This world is cruel and boring! Only madness..."

~Snap!~

Russell crushed Loki's neck, cutting her off in the middle of her rant. He muttered, "Too loud. You talk too much."

With Cassandra taken care of, Russell turned his gaze forward.

Old Loki had moved to the edge of the building, facing the approaching Alioth with a smile.

"I'm not running away this time," he declared. "Let's go, Thor. Staying here is my glorious mission!"

Green light erupted from Old Loki's hands, growing brighter as it rose into the sky.

Boom!

The golden halls of Asgard materialized, perfectly recreated. Thunder mingled with the magic, summoned by Classic Loki's memories of his home.

Russell sighed as he watched. Seeing it on the screen was nothing compared to experiencing it firsthand.

Old Loki had spent a lifetime wandering, but his heart had always longed for home. And now he stood as if he were truly in Asgard.

But...

Russell's gaze shifted to the enraged Alioth, who failed to swallow the illusion of Asgard. He muttered, "I don't like tragic endings."

As he spoke, a portal opened beneath his feet. Russell fell through as two purple magical spider silks shot out and caught classic Loki.

Classic Loki let out a startled "Ah!" as he was pulled into the portal, Reality Stone in hand.

The portal closed just as Alioth devoured the place where they'd been standing. Only his furious roar echoed through the ruins.
