I ignore Karlen and accept my pistachio ice cream."Thank you, he is paying." I hitch a thumb to Karlen's direction, a small bit of revenge after mocking me.

Karlen hands over our bags to one of the guards and digs out his wallet. I've never seen someone so tiny eat so much. Where does all that food go?"

"To my ass and boobs, obviously."

I hold up my ice cream , snap a selfie then post it to my social media. Lately, my sisters have been commenting on every one of my photos, and I'm so happy to connect even virtually. Karlen however refuses to get into any of the photos, saying that it isn't a good idea for him to be seen online. I'm not sure whether he says theta because of the Tyva police or his boyfriend. Whatever the reason is, I choose to respect his wishes.

"Where to now, Karl?" I savor the creamy goodness off the spoon. "I don't know. How many more shoes and dresses can I buy?"
