KIERAN
'Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a date.'
Those damning words have been haunting me since the day Edwina walked out on me in her office.
The meeting had provided me an opportunity just to see her again, and I knew it was a very terrible idea to go to be office for absolutely no reason.
Before I knew it, my feet took me there before I could stop myself. I stood outside her door, hesitating for a moment before knocking.
I wished I hadn't knocked. I wished I had walked away instead of hearing her utter those damning words that ruined the entirety of my weekend.
I originally wasn't going to attend the dinner party, but the thought of drinking myself to oblivion while trying to erase thoughts of Edwina from my mind wasn't really appealing.
So I decided to come. Amelia didn't object when I told her she would be coming with me. She had been a little bit too excited, even.
