For several days in a row, the weather had started to cool as autumn set in.
Even though Shen Heyu had suspicions in her heart, she had no evidence to directly point the finger. She had been searching for the past few days but still had not found any clues.
She was mentally exhausted, and with the weather turning colder, she had not taken care to dress accordingly to her body's needs, which resulted in a slight fever.
That morning, as Shen Heyu got up, she only felt her head was heavy and in pain. She thought it was a side effect of sleeping with the covers over her head, so she didn't think much of it.
After freshening up, she went downstairs for breakfast and saw Pei Yansi already sitting at the dining table. He looked up at her, frowning, and asked, "Are you not feeling well?"
Her face was deathly pale, without a hint of color.
Shen Heyu replied, "No, I just feel a bit dizzy, maybe I didn't get enough oxygen last night because I slept with the covers over my head."
