After celebrating Tenma's birthday last night, Kanae brought Shinobu and Tenma outside the next day.
They didn't venture that long and stopped upon reaching the border of Wakami Village's mountain village.
"Tenma, Shinobu, you know that I got an emergency call from the Demon Slayer Corps three weeks ago, right?" asked Kanae.
Tenma and Shinobu nodded attentively. He replied, "Something about the appearance of demons in the prefecture, I believed."
Kanae sighed helplessly, "Yes. When I arrived at the location, the demons had slaughtered the whole village."
Shinobu's eyes widened, "How can that be? Our intelligence gathering should be fast enough to notice that."
"I'm afraid this involved Blood Demon Art, which means there is a high-level demon in this case." Kanae shook her head at Shinobu.
"I tracked their traces to this area, nearing the Hobemi Village."
"If my guess is accurate, they should reach Hobemi in a few nights."
"Wait, isn't the Hobemi Village where that corrupted Nobleman and Police stayed?" Shinobu uttered again, making Kanae click her tongue in realization.
"You're right..." Tenma solemnly confirmed.
In the simulation, Tenma always wondered why the outbreak randomly happened in the Hobemi Village. However, it seemed it was 'directly' connected to Kanae's emergency mission.
"Is this Karma?" Shinobu found this situation funny. "We planned to trick them with Demon's appearance, and a genuine outbreak happened for real."
Kanae squinted her pale violet eyes at Shinobu, "I thought you didn't want to commit a crime, Shinobu? You were so adamant back then."
Tenma gave Shinobu a helpless look. He hoped this girl wouldn't make it too obvious.
Shinobu awkwardly cleared her throat. She couldn't reply that she was Tenma's pet now and was eager to please him for some rewards. She knew Kanae's sharp senses would notice her change in temperament.
She faked a cough, "W-Well, I'm just thinking we are doing this for the good of the world!"
"Not to mention, this Nobleman Kuri has a connection with the dangerous criminal organization Rokan. They deserved a fate worse than death!"
"Hmm, you're right." Kanae agreed with Shinobu's words. Rokan is indeed a disgusting organization, and they should completely destroy everything related to it.
'PHEW, SAFEEEE~!' Shinobu heaved a sigh of relief inside.
Tenma joined the conversation and said, "So, we can use the outbreak as a good diversion. We have gathered enough evidence on Nobleman Kuri and his family, so Nee-chan, I will leave the legal matter to you."
"When the outbreak happens, Nee-chan and Shinobu will fend off the demons."
"What about you?" Kanae gave him a keen look.
Tenma smiled, "Me? Of course, I will avenge my homie and take the Nobleman Kuri, his family, and the corrupt police down."
"Don't worry, I will make sure everything looks like an accident."
"You sound like an evildoer right now, Tenma-kun~?" Kanae giggled, teasing him.
Tenma shrugged, "It is what it is."
"If I have to become an evildoer, I will do it to help others."
'Of course, for Good Karma, too!'
"That's good to hear." Kanae didn't expect Tenma to reply this way. But it's still in his usual character.
"When are we going?" Shinobu played with her hair. She couldn't wait to punish some villains and get a reward from Tenma.
Kanae pondered before answering, "I haven't told the headquarters about the outbreak's route. We have 2-3 days, give or take. So, we have 2-3 days to eliminate the Nobleman and the Demons before the headquarters notices it."

"We should keep innocents out of this."
"Understood." Tenma and Shinobu would not harm the innocent.

For the next two days, Tenma and Kocho Sisters thoroughly prepared themselves.
They even tried their best to cover the 'Breathing Technique' as they would leave a mark on the crime scene, but this was just a fail-safe procedure.
While Kanae and Shinobu can reveal themselves as they are permitted Demon Slayers, Tenma can't. Tenma also doesn't want to reveal himself to the outside world.
On the night of the outbreak, Kanae and Shinobu wore their black Demon Slayers outfit, and Tenma placed a wooden mask over his face.
The wooden mask has no redeeming feature except its dark red color from Red Pine.
Kanae and Shinobu stared at Tenma's wooden mask and couldn't help but comment, "So plain."
"Hehe, the plainness will make it stand out even more." Tenma casually retorted. In fact, his obsidian eyes looked like a void in the mask's eye sockets.
"Anyway, let's go. We don't have much time."
"Tonight, the moon is bright."
"Mm, let's go."
Tenma, Kanae, and Shinobu traveled to the Hobemi Village. They walked over the slowly thinning snow and arrived a few hours later, seeing the village was still okay.
However, Tenma's nose twitched behind the mask. This foul smell only appeared when there were Demons nearby.
Yup, a large amount of them.
Compared to the group of demons Tenma killed in Mt. Akamushi, this group is three or four times bigger.
Of course, the number doesn't equal strength. Although the demon group has more demons, most of them are low-level demons.
In the middle of the street, a demon suddenly grabbed a female villager and was ready to eat her.

As the villagers wrung each other and frantically ran for their lives, the other demons besieged the Hobemi Village.
Nobleman Kuri, who lived deep in the village, was the first to escape from the danger. He awakened his sleeping wife and son from their sleep while ordering his bodyguard and police to protect them from demons.
Not even once Nobleman Kuri thinks of ordering his bodyguard and police to maintain the safety of the villagers. That's just a foolish thought not worth his attention.

The bodyguard panicked and got stabbed by the low-leveled demon's claw.

He kicked the injured bodyguard and made a way for himself and others to escape.
Unknown to Nobleman Kuri, a masked man watched him while squatting on a pole. Two red eyes rotated slowly, gleaming with murder.
Nobleman Kuri quickly escaped from the Hobemi Village. He got chased by some demons, but not something his bodyguard and police associate couldn't handle.
Huff! Huff! Huff!
Nobleman Kuri breathed heavily and pointed his katana at the injured low-leveled demons, "Haha, hahaha! Do you really think lowly demons like you can kill me?"
The demons groaned, wanting to claw this shameless human to death.
"But I can..." A voice of the reaper descended upon Nobleman Kuri.
Under everyone's shocked gaze, Nobleman Kuri's head exploded like a watermelon and splattered his brain matter everywhere.
POOF!

Tenma dug his ears in annoyance, "How noisy."

The wife suffered the same fate as her husband.

"Y-You, who are you? Do you know what you have done!" Police pointed his trembling knife at Tenma. "You're committing a crime!"
"You murderer!"
Tenma facepalmed, "Dude. How old are you? Ten?"
"Of course, I killed him."
"And you're next."
Tenma swiftly grabbed the police's head and crushed it with sheer physical strength.

"W-Why are you doing this?!" He shouted at Tenma.
"I don't think we have ever met before. Right?"
Tenma chuckled, "Oh, now that's where you're wrong. We have met before, but you don't know me."
"As for why I'm doing this..."
"I'm doing it to avenge my homie, his wife, and daughter."
"AND YOU MADE ERI CRY, YOU LITTLE BITCH!"
"E-Eri, who is that?" The Nobleman Son doesn't even know the names of his slaves. He only saw them as his playthings.
"Keke, aren't you the one who threw snowballs at them while they were 'pitifully' trembling in the snow?"
"It's you!" The Nobleman Son's body shivered in horror.
"Karma is a bitch, isn't it?" Tenma stretched his hand and grabbed the face of Nobleman Kuri's son, yanking it forcibly.
"Nooo-! ARGH!"
Tenma tore the spoiled brat's jaw and cracked his skull, effectively killing him.
