Who is Playing the Love Development Game in Gundam

One of the better translations I've read on here, though the names get messed up sometimes. Sule, Su Li, Sulei etc. is one of the worst offenders, but it seems to mainly happen to this one character. It's pretty rare for other characters thankfully, and you can easily tell who is who by the context. Story good, doesn't 100% adhere to plot and MC isn't afraid to interfere when he wants to. MC is more of a crafter/developer/designer but still pilots in combat on occasion, usually during practical tests. He keeps saying he wants to stay safe and make things, but ends up getting into fights anyway so it's not boring. There is a system but it's not one of those stupid gives quests or gacha shop ones. It's more of a Persona type thing that only activates on certain characters, and as the MC raises affinity with them and gifts them stuff he crafts he gains skill knowledge for various things. The system doesn't mind control people into liking him or gives him stuff for free though. He has to develop actual relationships, buy materials normally, and work on his career and business ventures himself. There's been no system macguffin popups to save him in dire situations or anything like that.
