Dusken's brown boots scraped across the sand as he sidestepped the boy's wild swing. The massive axe cut through empty air, kicking up a whirlwind of dust and desert grit.

Dusken's dark sword responded with a swoosh, slicing the wind apart as it aimed for the boy's exposed wrist.

But the boy was quick - his instincts sharpened by battle. He kicked up a spray of sand, leaping out of harm's way with well-practiced agility. Dusken's cold gaze followed him, exhaustion clear in his onyx, dark eyes.
