Kapitel 3: Chapter 3: Forest Adventure with Gyarados

The trees loomed overhead, their canopies thick, shutting out most of the light.

Alice walked beside me, her gaze sharp, catching every rustle of leaves and distant sound.

"I want to catch a Pokémon," she said, voice calm but insistent.

I shot her a look, eyebrow raised. "We've been in this world for three hours, and you already want to catch one? You're not even a little worried?"

She smiled, that rare, almost mischievous one. "I have you here. I don't need anything else." She hugged my arm, her voice softening as she added, "Please, please, please."

"You've changed since we got here," I muttered.

"So, you hate me now?"

"No." I sighed, glancing at the trees around us. "I think whoever sent us here tweaked our minds, just enough so we don't feel freaked out. We're too calm."

I stopped mid-sentence.

There was a sound—a faint roar carried on the wind.

"You hear that?" I asked.

"Yeah, sounds like…" Alice tilted her head, listening. "Like a waterfall."

We headed in that direction, the sound growing louder, until we reached the edge of a clearing.

The waterfall was massive, cascading over rocks, misting the air around it.

"Doesn't it look like something from an anime?" Alice said, her voice light with awe.

"Yeah… can't be sure though." I stepped toward the water.

"Don't go near! There could be a Gyarados in there," she warned.

I smiled, waved her off, and crouched by the water's edge.

I filled an empty flask.

Alice joined me, standing close, peering into the water.

Then she froze.

Her hand tapped mine, panicked.

I followed her gaze, and there, just beneath the surface, a Gyarados stared back, its enormous eyes locked onto us.

My pulse spiked, but I didn't let it show.

I straightened up slowly, turned, grabbed Alice, and bolted into the trees.

A deafening roar followed.

I glanced back to see the Gyarados emerging, its massive body ripping through the water.

The next thing I knew, a Hydro Pump blasted toward us.

We dove to the ground, barely dodging it, the force of the water sending a shockwave that rattled my bones.

We ran until my legs screamed.

It felt like hours before I finally stopped, collapsing onto the forest floor, gasping for air.

Alice was still clutching my arm when she noticed the blood trickling from a gash on my hand.

"You're bleeding," she whispered, her voice cracking.

She quickly removed her jacket and wrapped it tightly around my arm, tears welling in her eyes. "We should go back. I can't let you keep getting hurt."

"It's nothing," I grunted, but the pain was real enough. "Just a scratch."

She shook her head. "It's bleeding too much to be just a scratch."

I leaned back, eyes half-closed. "We left our bags back there—Pokéballs, the guidebook… everything."

"I'll go get them," she offered. "You need to rest."

"We'll go together. I'm not letting you go alone," I said, forcing a grin. "Let's rest for a bit, then we'll head back."

Alice hesitated, then sat beside me, resting her head on my shoulder.
