Kapitel 5: Chapter 5: I’ll be waiting for you.

On the other side, Sam miraculously regained his strength. His face and body returned to their original color as he examined the tattoo intently. "This saved me? And those memories... what were they?" he wondered aloud.

But another thought gnawed at him. "This is also what brought me here. Why?" His gaze instinctively fell upon the boy nearby, and a new question arose. "This shouldn't be, right?"

Hardening his resolve, Sam strode toward the boy and asked, "Who are you? How did you end up here?"

The boy ignored him, still muttering to himself. "This shouldn't have happened. I got caught... I don't want to die."

"What is he mumbling about?" Sam thought. Pushing aside his confusion, he refocused and demanded, more sharply this time, "Who are you? Are you out of your mind?"

The boy trembled, his eyes locking onto Sam's with a flash of desperation. His twisted smile was more pained than anything else. "I need your help. You can save me!"

Sam frowned, his gaze growing cold. "Do you even understand what I'm asking?"

The boy, undeterred, attempted to negotiate with a desperate look. "I'll tell you everything, but only if you save me."

A mocking laugh echoed in the empty space, and Sam sneered. "Otherworlder, right? Is this your confidence?"

The boy's eyes widened in shock, his face draining of color. "You... you know? How can you know?" He began to struggle against the chains that bound him.

"You'll never break free from those chains," Sam replied icily. His sneer deepened as he added, "Do you have any idea what I've just been through?"

Realizing he was outmatched, the boy slumped in defeat. "I can tell you everything you want to know," he muttered, casting a wary glance at Sam, "but only on one condition."

Sam chuckled darkly, spreading his arms wide. "Do you take me for a fool? A boy who hasn't even grown a hair yet thinks he can take over my body?" He shook his head. "Your courage is commendable."

The boy collapsed onto the invisible ground, his eyes vacant, uttering only one word: "Inheritance." Then, as if something clicked in his mind, a spark returned to his eyes, and he cursed, "Remember, I'm not the only one."

"I'll be waiting for you."

"Fool," Sam muttered, his gaze hardening as he looked at the boy. "Devour," he commanded.

In an instant, a sky-blue blaze erupted around the boy, consuming him entirely. He turned to charcoal without a single word escaping his lips.

With the boy gone, Sam straightened, a provocative smile playing on his lips. "Author, you dare to mess with my life?" He paused; his eyes gleaming with a dangerous resolve. "I'll make your life a living hell."

....

On a quiet highway, a car cruised smoothly, while the soft sound of music filled the air, creating a calm atmosphere inside the vehicle.

"Oh! You're awake?" asked Mohan, glancing over at Sam.

Stretching his arms and body, Sam nodded. "Yeah."

"Any plans for today?" Mohan inquired casually.

"Not really," Sam replied.

"Want one? I've got a great plan for today," Mohan suggested enthusiastically.

"No," Sam declined, patting Mohan on the shoulder. "Actually, I remembered something I need done today, and I want you to handle it for me."

Mohan turned his head, frowning with irritation. "Seriously? Even now, you're thinking about work?"

Shrugging his shoulder, Sam gave a mysterious smile. "Come to my building this evening with your parents. I have a gift for you."

Mohan raised an eyebrow. "Seriously, bro? Just tell me what the job is."

"Not now. The time isn't right yet," Sam said, glancing out the window as if lost in thought. He sighed, "My destiny... I want to take control."

Unaware of Sam's inner turmoil, Mohan whispered, "Alright, I'm curious now."

"You'll be thrilled when you find out," Sam promised.

"Don't overhype it!" Mohan joked, though excitement flickered in his eyes.

"Don't worry. You can't even imagine today's surprise. I promise it's beyond your expectations."

As the two friends continued their conversation, the car approached a tall building labeled "Curious."

*Honk honk!*

The car's horn echoed as the gatekeeper opened the large outer gate.

Stepping out of the car, Sam looked at Mohan and said, "Take care, and don't forget to bring your parents."

"Don't worry, brother. I won't forget," Mohan replied confidently, patting his chest.

"Alright, I'll be waiting," Sam said with a calm smile.

Mohan shifted the car into reverse, accelerated, and drifted smoothly toward his destination.

Watching the car disappear into the distance, Sam sighed, "I just hope this works," before turning and walking toward the building.

As he passed the guard at the entrance, Sam gave him a grateful nod. "Thanks for everything."

The guard smiled respectfully. "You'd do the same if you were in my position."

Sam returned the smile and patted the guard's shoulder. He then walked through the main gate, which opened after a quick iris scan, and entered the Curious building.

As soon as he entered the room, the first thing he did was pull out a notebook and pen. He settled down on the couch, his mind already racing. With a determined expression, he began jotting down the main points:

- Reincarnator

- System

- Game

- World Merge [All worlds merging systematically]

- Devour Talent

- Strange Tattoo [Investigate further]

Note: In one month, this world will be riddled with reincarnates.

Sam reviewed his notes one more time with scrutinizing eyes, then tucked them away into an imaginary space. "I just need to focus on these elements to gather more information," he muttered to himself. His gaze shifted toward the sky, eyes narrowing with a steely resolve. He let out a sharp, cruel remark, "Reincarnator... I don't know what your goal is, but if you dare mess with me or my family, I will cook you alive."
