The arrival of Kara and Bruce swiftly shifted the tides for the police force, with both vigilantes eliminating two of Joker's trucks in their unique ways, leaving only Joker's last truck as a target.
Joker, however, wasn't easy to confront. He noticed two Batmans approaching him from the left and right: one silver-gray and one jet-black, one male and one female. Both headed straight for him. Instead of panicking, Joker let out his infamous laugh and raised an RPG launcher, aiming a rocket at the truck meant to escort Harvey Dent.
Bruce reacted instantly, using a nearby police car as a ramp to launch himself and intercept the rocket with his own armored vehicle. Although Bruce emerged unscathed, his tank was no longer operational.
Kara quickly assessed the situation and noted Bruce's condition, relieved to see he was unharmed. However, her own vehicle, now modified into a motorcycle, was her main transport, and, as luck would have it, Bruce also had a backup motorcycle stashed in his armored tank.
With Bruce now on a sleek black bike, he and Kara were a perfectly synchronized pair. The two exchanged glances and nodded, ready to act, their communication aided by special channels and radios.
"Kara, let's take him alive. We can use the high-tensile steel cables with a load capacity of thirty tons to pull him out of the truck," Bruce directed. Knowing his equipment inside out, he immediately formulated a plan.
Kara shot him a look, feeling slightly disappointed but agreed. "Alright, just make sure to fix my vehicle after this. I didn't even get to show it off before it was destroyed," she muttered.
Bruce chuckled, agreeing. For him, a broken vehicle was merely a solvable problem, thanks to his endless resources.
Kara and Bruce quickly executed the plan, speeding toward Joker's truck from opposite directions. Joker, visibly agitated, paced around in the cab. But his chaotic mind held an unsettling mix of brilliance and disregard for life, morals, and law.
Arriving at the back of Joker's truck, Kara and Bruce positioned themselves, securing the steel cables to the truck's rear axles using specialized weaponry attached to their bikes. They expertly looped the cables around nearby load-bearing pillars and anchored them.
In the confined space of the underground tunnel, the load-bearing pillars were sturdy and capable of holding against the pull. As Joker's truck continued to speed forward, the steel cables reached their limit, stretching until they violently tore the truck's cargo compartment from its front cab.
The compartment separated, and Joker and his men, now tossed around inside, fell unconscious.
The police convoy in the distance stopped, securing Joker's crew from the cab of the truck. Meanwhile, Gordon stepped out of the shadows, approaching Bruce and the truck compartment.
Kara spotted Gordon from a distance, understanding that Bruce had coordinated the entire operation with him. Deciding not to interfere, she simply nodded to herself, satisfied that the situation was under control, and rode away without further acknowledgement.
As Gordon led the prepared police team to apprehend Joker, Bruce prepared to move in. Joker, who hadn't been thrown out of the cab, stumbled onto the road, laughing maniacally. Standing defiantly, he raised his hands in a mock invitation. "Come on, Batman! Hit me if you've got the guts!"
Kara felt a strong urge to turn back, knowing that, unlike Bruce, she wouldn't hesitate to take Joker out. But she trusted Bruce's judgment and continued on her way, leaving the task in his hands.
Bruce faced his own internal struggle, fighting the impulse to end it once and for all. But he knew that if he crossed that line, his morals, his beliefs—everything he stood for—would crumble.
In the end, Bruce veered away, deliberately avoiding Joker. Joker, with his unsettling mind games, had managed to make Batman hesitate. Losing control of his bike, Bruce skidded to a halt behind Joker, where Joker's henchmen quickly surrounded him.
Kara sighed, shaking her head at Bruce's hesitation, though she was sure Gordon and the rest of the police would handle Joker from here.
True to her intuition, Gordon appeared just in time, taking Joker and his men into custody. Harvey Dent, who had been held hostage throughout the ordeal, was finally freed, breathing a sigh of relief.
Seeing Gordon alive shocked Harvey. It turned out that Gordon had faked his own death, plotting the entire operation with Bruce and leaving even Harvey out of the loop. The meticulous planning had paid off, and Gotham's greatest villain was now in custody.
However, as Kara rode away, something didn't sit right with her. Joker had outsmarted Gotham countless times, playing with the minds of the city's defenders. Was he truly defeated, or had he planned this from the start?
"Bruce," Kara said over the radio, a hint of caution in her voice, "be careful. This could still be a trap. Something about this seems too easy."
But as she tried to warn him, Kara didn't anticipate the next move Joker would make.
