Kapitel 41: Bruno's Game

I woke up, disoriented and cold. Blinking against the bright light flooding the room, panic surged through me as I realized I was completely naked against the chilling air. 

Confusion washed over me when I tried to move, only to find my wrists tightly bound to a strapping device behind me. 

Terror clawed at my throat as I twisted and struggled against the restraints.

The chair I had seen earlier was in my line of sight, a menacing symbol of my fear. 

How did I end up here? What had he done to me?

Just as I began to fight against the bindings, a voice broke through my frantic thoughts.

"Don't waste your time, Maria." Bruno's tone was calm, almost amused, as he stepped into view. His presence was l frightening, sending a shiver down my spine. "I made sure it would be impossible for you to escape."

My heart raced, a desperate plea escaping my lips.
