School began at seven in the morning.
In fact, after the first class, there was a break between classes stretching from half eight to nine, and then a second break between the hours of half ten to eleven.
With the third class spanning two hours, lunch began at one, and ended at ten to two.
After lunch, there was an hour-long physical class that wasn't optional, but not precisely mandatory either.
There were multiple universities, but students who wished to enter the military academy, and the school of law & order, had no choice but to go these physical classes.
On the other hand, students vying for a spot in the universal studies of arcane principles, U.S.A.P, didn't necessarily have to partake in physical class.
Instead, these students would have a fourth theoretical class, it being shorter than the previous three classes before lunch, being an hour long instead.
Anyway, at three in the afternoon, another day of school came to an end.
When the guards opened the school gates, droves of students poured out incessantly, gossiping in groups with their friends.
"Like ants in a colony." Anon uttered under his breath.
Catharina was near and asked, "Mmm? You said something?"
"No."
Anon concisely replied whilst Seth walked alongside him, step by step, as they exited the school's gates.
The current group was one of four, as Felix was nowhere to be seen.
"My glorious king, sister and I will be leaving now."
Saying this, Cassius placed his hand on his heart akin to facing one's superior, slightly bowing towards Anon with a serious expression.
Catharina cursed at this and dragged him away.
Standing on the edge of the pavement, Anon observed them intently.
Crossing a road, they walked another hundred meters or so, where a luxurious hovering vehicle was parked in the corner of a secluded street awaiting their arrival.
Parked on the side of a street were many such vehicles, maybe not so luxurious, but over half of them hovered just above the ground. Some were parents, others were hired drivers, and there were even fourth year students who owned such vehicles.
After all, one could acquire a driver's license at sixteen.
Some older students in fourth year were already of such age.
Naturally, to have one's parents buy a vehicle for you, even the ground vehicles, though it wasn't proof of being rich, but it was proof that you weren't exactly poor either.
"You do know, he's more intelligent than he reveals." Seth casually stated.
"I do." Anon replied.
"Where's that other one? The glasses child."
"Felix?" Anon leisurely conveyed, "He travels."
"And you?" Seth smirked, "Do you travel too? I can give you a drop home if you so desire."
"No, I walk."
Anon's gaze met Seth's.
The two stared at each other silently, many thoughts flashing through their respective minds.
"It's good to get a little walk in at the end of a mentally exhausting day of school, so I'll have to decline your offer."
Seth chuckled, shifting his gaze to a luxurious hovering limousine.
The car stopped at the corner of an intersection, near the pavement where they stood.
Exiting the vehicle was a beautiful woman dressed in a neat tuxedo with a full head of blue hair, bowing towards not just Seth, but even Anon.
"My lord," She respectfully greeted Seth and turned to Anon, about to respectfully greet him too, "The-!"
Seth's cold gaze caused her body to stiffen as he chuckled and said in a low tone, "We don't want the whole world knowing his little secret now, do we?"
The servant paled while nodding profusely, opening the door for Seth.
Nodding, he glanced at Anon for a final time, asking with a genuine tone, "You know, I care for you deeply. So, if you wish to reach home without a hassle, I'll gladly give you a drop."
"It's okay."
Anon declined.
Whether it was in a polite manner or not, he cared little and walked off.
Seeing this, Seth chuckled.
A moment after, his face adorned an indifferent persona as he glanced at the servant, ordering in a cold voice, "Let's get going."
Within the vehicle, behind the wheel, the servant asked, "My lord, do you wish to follow the supreme commander's son?"
"No, leave him be."
Seth folded his legs.
Inside the limousine, it was quite spacious.
Its interior appeared expensive to say the least, and there were more than a few glass bottles with red wine in them.
In his hand was a glass cup with red wine that he played with as he asked the servant, "Were you intending to refer to the boy as that? Or were you about to reveal another one of his titles?"
Behind the wheel, the servant shuddered, "My lord, please be forgiving."
"It's alright. Since you've already appeared before him, he may find it strange if you suddenly disappear?" Seth sipped on the red wine.
The intentions in his heart leaked from his eyes, causing the woman's body to tremble even more violently.
The last thing she desired was to become red wine.
"And this wine... I can taste the years of corruption, disease, and dirt in it."
Seth frowned whilst playing with the wine in the glass cup.
"Understood, my lord." Her heart calmed when hearing Seth's words.
"But the pure ones are a luxury. I'd say, anywhere between thirty and thirty-three is perfect." He said, amused whilst intentionally scaring the servant once more.
'I should really enjoy my time here, hehe.' Seth grinned with a vicious light flashing through his eyes.
…
"So, the new world order even prepared this deeply for Seth." Anon mumbled under his breath, smiling.
In this city, there were thirty-five districts that surrounded the Core district, making it thirty-six districts in total.
A single district, like Blackridge district which Anon inhabited, may have anywhere between one to three million humans, with dozens of high schools.
Although times have changed, a new era has been established, and the initially two hundred and fifty million humans have grown close to three hundred million.
Once could say, a single district had a certain percentage of humanity in its entirety.
This wasn't to say a district was incredibly large, it just went to show how small the number of humans on planet earth had become compared to fifty years ago.
It was akin to a new world now.
'Each district has two or three great families.' Anon thought.
'The Constantin family, it didn't hit me when I heard it from the PA system, but I do remember hearing of their name.'
"So does this make St. Hope high school beyond prestigious?"
Besides the Constantin family who had just transferred Seth into the school, although for Anon, the public did not know this, there was also the Allmon family's twins, Cassius and Catharina.
It was already a prestigious school, every year, it had multiple students who entered the camp of ten thousand.
Now, two great families sent their children to it.
'More importantly, isn't the Constantin family from another district?'
The more he thought of it, the more his memories were juggled and the more he remembered.
'Isn't this too obvious?' Anon's brows knitted.
'Do they not know that my father…'
Reaching here, he sighed.
"My house has been clean for the past month, meaning Liam has been popping up. But how can he be so free?"
His amber eyes flashed with understanding.
He couldn't help but laugh, "So, is that why they waited until a month before the final exam?"
Looking up at the skies, he shook his head.
"A planet expedition wouldn't have him gone for so long, it means, a venture into another civilization."
"This also confirms that, at the very least, Constantin family's Otherworldly Knight is a goon of the new world order."
Only an Otherworldly Knight directly under his father, the supreme commander, would know such a secret.
"From the top of my head, I can count three times in the past years when father must have visited other civilizations."
Anon's thoughts churned.
"Why wait until now? Isn't this too risky for a secret organization?"
"Once father knows that a family from a foreign district has sent their child into a school where I, his son, attends, he'd be suspicious, especially when there's only a month until the final exams."
Yet again, he could only sigh.
"Well, they must have their reasons. Maybe they hadn't nurtured Seth to a satisfactory degree."
Inevitably, no matter how mysterious the persona he adorned, Seth was but a mere pawn.
'A pawn isn't exactly a perfect description.'
'The devil?'
'Dead mother said this, but what exactly does it mean. Is he just evil, so the new world order didn't believe the leash around his neck was tight enough, or am I missing something?'
