Kapitel 41: Jealousy

As the first light of dawn spilled into the room, Aren and Victoria were deep in sleep in bed. The door creaked open silently; Keiran slipped inside, approaching them with a mischievous grin.

"Sorry for this, buddy," he whispered to himself. On tiptoe, he came up beside Aren and took a marker out of his pocket.

He was just about to start drawing something on Aren's face when Victoria's eyes cracked open. She looked at Keiran with sleepy eyes.

Keiran quickly put a finger to his lips and whispered, "Shhh, keep quiet."

Victoria understood what he was up to, but she chose to watch silently. Keiran carefully drew a pair of glasses on Aren's face, then pulled back, nearly unable to hold in his laughter.

With a sense of pride in his work, he called out, "Hey, Aren! Wake up! It's morning!"

Aren opened his eyes slightly, still trying to make sense of what was happening. "Keiran, what are you doing in my room this early?" he grumbled, rubbing his eyes.
