The bell of the elevator dinged and Wyatt stepped out, wearing a black chiffon shirt and black jeans, hidden beneath his long windbreaker. His hand was behind his back as his long legs strode across the room and he was in front of the receptionist.
"Good day, Sir. How may I help you today?" The young woman smiled politely at him.
"Wyatt Hudson Parker. I'm here to Evie-Evelyn Hastings. Is she in today?"
Hearing the name, the employee's eyes almost widened but years of training taught her how to retain her smile.
"Miss Hastings is currently busy and she has been asked not to be disturbed, sir." No matter who Wyatt was, her job came first so she declined smoothly.
Wyatt's midnight eyes flickered at the woman, stating at her, "I'm sure Evie can spare her fiancee a few minutes of her time, isn't that right, Glinda?" The smile he gave didn't reach his eyes.
Glinda hesitated, however since he was the fiancee she should let him in.
