Kapitel 43: Chapter Forty-Three.

It was late November and winter would officially begin two weeks before Christmas, because of the city they were in, it was still a little bit hot, and depending on the day it could become very hot.

Sometimes, winter could come in January, which was why Kayla's brain protested that the outfit she wore prioritized aesthetic over comfort.

She wore a green skirt, with pink flowers printed on it that stopped at her mid-thighs and huggs on her feet but it was the upper part that was off the rails, even for her.

The top was an off-the-shoulder top that matched the skirt but half of her breasts were visible. The sleeves reached her elbows and were mildly puffy. To cover the top, she wore a thick leather jacket and zipped it to her jaw.
