Abigail frowned as she looked at the picture again. She felt confused because the woman in the photo didn't resemble Walter Jones's wife.
"Abby, come join me! Let's watch a movie before we head home," Sawyer called, distracting Abigail from her thoughts.
She nodded, set the photo frame back down, and sat beside Sawyer. She tried to focus on the movie he had chosen. Still, after a few minutes, her curiosity about his mother grew. Some questions, and they may be delicate questions, filled her mind.
Abigail's gaze had shifted from the television to him.
Noticing her disinterest in the movie, Sawyer glanced over and asked, "Did you not like the film? What kinds of movies do you prefer? Romance? Horror? Thriller? Or maybe a superhero movie?"
She smiled at him and shook her head. "I'm not really interested in watching movies right now because I want to ask you something. Sawyer… can I ask you?"
