Eira laughed as she pushed herself off the door. She straightened and walked over to the bed before lying on it.
She stayed like that for a few minutes before bolting upright.
Fuck! Elma!
Hurriedly, she picked up her phone, went to her contact list, which was almost nonexistent, and dialed Elma's number.
The first ring didn't even finish before it was answered.
"Ephyra, dear? Is that you?" Elma's worried and familiar voice came through the line, thick with relief.
"Yes, Elma, it's me," Eira responded quickly. "I'm sorry for not calling you. You must have been very worried when I didn't come back home yesterday."
"Oh, my dear, I was indeed very worried! How are you doing? Are you alright? Did something happen? Where are you? What happened?" The worry and dread in her voice rose higher as Elma thought of various things that could have happened to Ephyra, each image in her head overlapping with Ephyra's pale body on a hospital bed.
Honestly, I'm not satisfied with how slow the story's progress is, making it slow paced. The amount of chapters I wish to write is not close to what I'm currently writing and they are also short, not surpassing 1500 words. I just want to say that writing for Webnovels is not easy because there are things I could have added in chapters that in a rush I won't add and a lot of edits to do but unable to do it. I don't want to continue this way but I'm a very lazy writer and I procrastinate a lot. I promise to try to improve but it's 50/50. Anyways, one more chapter for today and we're moving to the Allen family next! Don't worry, I'm going to put the drama in only one chapter! See yah!
