Kapitel 19: Chapter 19 – New Technique
"Hmm, excellent! You are amazing, Young Saiki!" He shouted with a wide grin on his face. "But I'm not letting you go that easily! Can you hold me for 3 minutes?"
He punched towards me with all his might. But I was prepared for that and ducked down to avoid his attack. Getting out of his sight, I disappeared with a black cloud.
Once again, he tried to find me. This time, he had a plan to overcome my invisibility. He raised his hand high above his head.
"That won't work anymore, Young Saiki!"
'Shit!
With a shout, he brought his fist down, slamming the concrete ground with full force. The impact caused the ground to shatter, creating a lot of dust and dirt.
I jumped in advance, but the debris forced me to hit it and reveal myself to him. Using a normal invisibility wouldn't work anymore.
'I have to be quick. Let's see. Spread your Fear and fool his senses. Make him think you're in that place but appear in another place.'
In theory, this should work. I didn't have much time to test it out, so I could only hope for the best.
After I stood up and brushed off the dust from my body, I looked at him with a serious expression. Black cloud covered my body again. However, this time, it was different. The cloud looked like a shadow made of smoke that mimicked my movements.
Seeing this, All Might narrowed his eyes as he raised his hands to guard himself. Two more minutes. I was getting the hang of it, but the fooled shadow still stayed in the same space as me. I had to find a way to move while still fooling his senses.
"Ooh? A new technique? That's impressive!" He praised me as he tried to hit me with his right fist. "But you're not strong enough!"
The fist flew like a bullet toward 'me' in front of him. I looked pretty calm as I waited for him to punch 'me'. And then...
Boom!
He didn't hit anything. His fist passed through my body and created a shockwave from the impact. The dust flew everywhere and covered the entire area.
My figure melted like ink in water, disappearing.
"What?!" He shouted in surprise as he looked around frantically for me. "Where are you? Young Saiki!"
Just when he said that, I reappeared behind him. He was quick to react and tried to punch me with his left fist this time.
As he touched my body, his eyes widened in surprise once again as it didn't connect.
Confusion clouded his mind as he couldn't understand what was happening. I didn't waste this chance and appeared a bit away from him with a cloud of black smoke. My sword rested on my shoulder and I had a confident smile on my face.
"Shin Kyōka Suigetsu. I finally learned it." I muttered to myself as I took a deep breath. "At least it worked in real battle."
Though it was a bit tiring. I had to concentrate to keep this technique going, so I couldn't move around much. That was why I planned to run around while maintaining this ability. But with All Might here, it was easier to use it for close combat.
As for what he thought of me, I didn't know. His grin looked pretty... dangerous.
"Nice skill, Young Saiki! It's like you're everywhere and nowhere!" He shouted with his signature laugh as he pointed at me. "I want to try to counter your skill and teach you more but it's too bad! Our time is running out."
"Huh?"
When I looked at the clock, it was indeed so. Just then, a horn sounded from somewhere in the city, signaling the end of the game.
"Time's up!" All Might cried out as he raised his arm in victory. "Congratulations. You win!"
The first training ended with All Might's word.
Although it wasn't a complete win, we still managed to steal the suitcase away from him. It was a good result if you ask me.
'And I managed to learn it at the last minute.'
I huffed and deactivated my technique. This ability allowed me to spread fear to my opponents and fool their sense of perception. It was a tricky ability that made my presence shifted all over the place.
With the training ended, All Might took off his weight and went to fetch Todoroki. He instructed me to return first with the suitcase, which I did.
When I arrived at the meeting point, everyone was already there, waiting for us. They were chatting happily and laughing loudly, enjoying their first training.
"Kuro!" Izuku cried out as he waved at me. "You guys are amazing! It's so cool to see All Might-sensei's real power! And the way you disappear but appear... What is that? I can see All Might-sensei's fist passed through your body yet you are okay. What a mysterious power!"
His excitement made me smile as I shook my head.
"It's just a part of my quirk."
As for the suitcase, I put it nearby so the next team could use it.
Tooru and Yaoyorozu also approached me with excitement.
"Kuro-kun! That's amazing! What's that? A black smoke came out of your body and All Might's fist passed through. I don't know how you did that, but it was incredible." She praised me as she raised her hand to touch me.
But before she could, I dodged her hand and moved away. It was just... too dangerous. Right now, Tooru only had gloves and shoes on. She was fully naked.
If I somehow touched her, I didn't think I would be able to hold back. I would surely tease, no, play with her until she was exhausted.
Her hand, which met air, fell low as she tilted her head in confusion.
"Eh? Sorry. Did I scare you?" She asked in worry.
"No, it's fine. I was just a bit too sensitive from the fight earlier and instinctively dodged your hand. I needed time to adjust. Sorry."
She smiled at me and nodded in understanding.
"Ah, I see. That's understandable. Don't worry about it."
Yaoyorozu also spoke up. "I agree with Hagakure-san. Your quirk is amazing. It's not limited to invisibility. It can also create an illusion. That will be useful to fight villains. You should train it well."
"Yeah. That's the plan."
I scratched the back of my head and smiled sheepishly.
'It's not that I'm trying to be modest. But I still have another ability that I can't use right now.' I thought, 'It needs sake and a cup. And in Japan, the legal drinking age is 20. Not 18. So, yeah, I can't use it. It's a shame. If I could, I would have more cards to use. Maybe I should consult with Aizawa-sensei to make an exception later.'
Suddenly, a loud noise rang from the entrance. All Might had arrived with Todoroki, who looked exhausted and a bit injured.
"Everyone! I am here! And with a few injuries, hahaha!"
The blonde hero laughed heartily as he held up an unconscious Todoroki. He put him down gently and sighed.
"Young Todoroki, you are amazing. Thank you for helping your teammate."
He patted the boy's head and turned to us.
"Good job for Young Saiki and Young Todoroki! We will continue the training now. The next pair is... Bakugou and Tsuyu pair!"
"OH! Fucking finally!" Bakugo shouted as he raised his fist in excitement. "I am going to fucking win this!"
Tsuyu, on the other hand, looked worried as she looked at her partner. She put her index finger on her lips and shook her head.
Ignoring them, All Might continued.
"As for the villain team..."
The TV screen lit up and showed the next team.
"It's team Yaozorozu, Hagakure, and Denki!"
Hearing that, I looked at both Tooru and Yaoyorozu.
"Good luck, both of you. Try your best."
"Yes, I will do my best!" Tooru made a guts pose.
