She said yes.

She accepted the challenge of being the human Queen of Merak.

He rolled back down on the bed with her, flipping her over so he could stare into her beautiful eyes. "Yes?"

"Yes. Do you need me to say it in French. Oui, mon prince. Is that right?"

"Ah oui, ma reine. Yes, my queen."

He slowly lowered his lips to hers and kissed her for a long moment. "Mmmm," he sighed against her mouth. "You taste so good, ma cherie."

"Like champagne and all the delicious flavors from tonight?"

He rubbed his nose against hers. "Even better. I wonder if your blood will taste just like the lobster and champagne. I can't believe you agreed to be my queen."

Staring up into his eyes, she looked like a scared fawn. "That makes two of us. But how ... how are you going to defeat your family?"
