Kapitel 42: Chapter 42: Fury's Plan B
"It seems that I could only conserve my Teaching Points for now; who knows how they could come in handy in the future?" Emma sighed because Fury's visit really disturbed all the plans she had.
Of course, she herself didn't know that her request also changed the way Nick Fury saw her, planning to recruit her to his superhero project and, finally, give him some headache thinking about the talk with the World Security Council.
He was there in a car returning to the SHIELD base and had already requested a meeting with the World Security Council; it would start just the moment he arrived at the base.
During the ride, he was thinking and rehearsing all the different possibilities and scenarios that would make the council refuse Emma's request and how he should answer them.
Like when he came up with Emma at the beginning, it didn't take much time for Nick to arrive at the SHIELD base.
The meeting would be done as usual, meaning with a holographic projection of the council members.
When it started, basically everyone was present, well, just not physically present, with only Nick standing in front of the council members like a defendant in front of the jury.
It was naturally Nick who must first give them a little resume of the current situation, he said: "It's the situation concerning the green monster."
Hearing the name green monster, they became more serious, at least more than when he talked about Emma to them, especially the representative of Brazil; he would never be calm for a day knowing such a big abomination hidden in his country and is no longer in Brazil.
Nick continued: "After much research done and analyzing every little bit of information we have about him, we basically found some of his weaknesses."
"First of all, we have remarked on his weakness concerning the sonic attack, and our team, with the help of Tony Stark, has already created a sonic weapon with high-frequency sound waves."
"Not only that, we came up with a gas that we judged would also likely be one of his weaknesses even though we don't know how high his resistance could be, and just in case, we would also use some cryogenic weapons already available within SHIELD."
The majority of the council members nodded. After all, they knew what kind of people and what kind of inventions there were in SHIELD; the little problem was that this operation had probably cost so much even if only the fact of inviting Stark was taken into account.
"But even so, I don't think it's enough, Director Fury or are you underestimating the US military?" Obviously, the representative of the US didn't agree with them because they couldn't stop the green titan with only this.
You have to know that the latter escaped from a full and well-equipped military base with almost all kinds of weapons without a problem; how could it be so easy to stop him?
Fury wanted to thank this representative for the help, even though it's not his old chief Pierce, but this one has been giving him a good start so many times like an angel.

Nick, who managed to capture their attention, continued: "My plan B is not only for this time but also in case of future crisis."
"I don't know if you have seen the report I made, but since some times, menace coming from the supernatural or simply things from the supernatural side is increasing more and more."
"Just take the mutants example. There were only some minorities before, but then they started increasing, and finally, some strong ones defying all logic like Magneto, Charles, or Shaw appeared."
"Now, some even stronger started appearing called Omega-level mutants; I think the World Security Council shouldn't just sit back and everything going on but should intervene."
He paused and looked at all of them, nodding; how could they be willing to let things continue like this? They just didn't find the best solution for now and wanted to know what solution Fury found.
Fury, who liked controlling things, knew that he shouldn't make these people impatient and said: "My plan is a project called The Avengers Initiative."
This is something that has been on his mind for some time; he initially wanted to wait for some moment, but what's happening right now, like the situation with Emma, couldn't help but force him to advance the idea.
The council members were just looking at him; they couldn't possibly know what are his ideas with just a vague title.
He said: "My idea is very simple: since the menace is coming from the supernatural side, why not gather the best, the strongest, and those with unique abilities and, of course, bring them in control before they start regrouping."
"It's like, you know, these special individuals have been going in different groups recently, which isn't good for us; why shouldn't we also create a special team to fight them?"
"Even though the Idea of creating a superhero like Captain America is good, I don't think one individual is enough; we need a team of these special individuals tentatively called the Avengers."
"It would not only be a one-time solution but a permanent one against all threats; as for their supervision, it would be a special team under SHIELD's supervision and would become humanity's first shield against any rogue superhuman like the green titan, mutants threats like Magneto or any global catastrophe."
