Kapitel 29: Chapter 29: The human race coming together, new creatures bond

---

In a few seconds, Void finally arrived at the market. It was chaotic and loud, with people buying and selling other creatures. Different species filled the marketplace, their goals either to buy slaves or to rescue members of their own race from captivity.

This was the dark side of life, society, and the universe. Living beings had become nothing more than commodities, to be purchased by the wealthy. Void clicked his tongue and smiled lightly, while Linkir's face twitched briefly before returning to its usual blank expression.

Most of the people here were dressed in expensive, well-kept clothes. Void figured they were likely merchants, aristocrats, royalty, or from ancient families.

"Did you find any slave you're interested in?" the young man asked, noticing Void's intrigued look and the clicking of his tongue.

"Alas, no," Void replied with a grin.

"I see. But there's an auction happening soon. Would you like to attend?" the young man offered.

"Alright, lead the way," Void responded.

The young man turned and led them toward a nearby teleportation circle, stepping onto it. Void and Linkir followed suit. A flash of white light later, they found themselves in front of a large building. Unlike the structures on Earth, this building had an ancient design, adorned with statues of beasts and powerful humans. Despite its old-fashioned appearance, it seemed sturdy and well-maintained.

"Welcome to the auction of the Moonlight Organization. I warn you, my friend—don't cause any trouble here, or you will die," the young man said sternly, his usual smile replaced by a serious expression.

Void chuckled and teased, "Let me worry about myself. Why would I die? I'm a semi-legendary being."

The young man paused, then replied, "It seems you're from a secluded sect." He waited to see Void's reaction, but Void simply smiled, prompting the young man to continue. "A hundred years ago, multiple branches of the Moonlight Organization appeared in every city and kingdom across this world. At first, no one paid them much attention until they realized no one had purchased the land these buildings stood on. Many kingdoms tried to challenge them, but the very next day, their kings were found dead. This caused shockwaves throughout the world, and soon, everyone began to fear the Moonlight Organization.

"A month later, they announced their purpose—to auction rare materials, slaves, weapons, and even divine artifacts. When they opened, the crowd was stunned by the treasures on display, including a god's divinity. This led to a god descending through a saint to attack the organization. But the saint was killed by one of their guards—someone far stronger than a false god. It was said that the god who attacked was gravely injured. Since then, no one has dared to challenge them inside their premises. But once you leave, your fate is your own."

Void nodded along, intrigued by the organization's story. From his experience reading novels, he guessed this Moonlight Organization was either from a more powerful universe or founded by an extremely powerful individual. Either way, he realized this world wasn't as simple as it seemed.

He wondered, when this world faces extinction, would the organization remain neutral, or would they intervene? Void didn't care much about the fate of this world or the others. From what he'd gathered in the chats, they had a Rank 4 being, and while Void didn't know what that meant, he had seen the destruction Rank 3 beings were capable of in the DC Multiverse.

"Good, you understand. Let's go in," the young man said, leading the way.

Void nodded, following alongside Linkir. At the entrance, Void noticed a wide variety of unique individuals entering the building, their auras far from weak. The lowest level he sensed was that of an archmage (a peak-level Rank 0), and he even spotted a demigod (high-level Rank 1).

Upon entering, Void realized the space inside was much larger than it appeared from the outside. It resembled a massive stadium, stretching for thousands of meters.

"System, I think the owner of this organization might be from Earth," Void said, noting the uncanny resemblance to a stadium.

("Most likely, Host," the system responded.)

"We'll be heading to the VIP section. Starting from Great Archmage level, individuals are granted a VIP room as a token of respect for powerful beings," the young man said as they moved deeper into the auction house. A middle-aged man approached them as they neared.

"This way," the man said, gesturing for them to follow. Void, the young man, and Linkir followed him, and inside, Void grew more excited. The man leading them was a demigod, and there were many others like him. The thought of what might happen when they fought thrilled Void.

They were shown into a room. Upon entering, Void noticed the red decor and the large glass window at the front. The room was the size of an average bedroom, with something resembling a television present.

"Mother... fu*ker," Void muttered under his breath, more convinced now that the founder of this place was from an Earth similar to his own.

The room was filled with exotic fruits and various dishes with appetizing aromas. Beautiful human girls stood by, ready to serve.

"Luxury," Void said in surprise, finding a seat. Immediately, two girls approached him, massaging his shoulders. He didn't refuse. The young man smiled and sat down, receiving the same treatment.

"Don't just stand there, sit," Void chuckled, addressing Linkir. She hesitated but, seeing her master's relaxed demeanor, complied. As she sat, she too was given the royal treatment. For the first time in a long while, her tense body relaxed, feeling as though a heavy burden had been lifted from her shoulders.

While closing his eyes, Void received an invite.

*(You have been invited to join the human private race chat)*

"Oh?" Void smiled lightly, causing the two girls massaging him to blush. The customer today was truly handsome and charming.

Void accepted the invitation and found himself in a white space. In this space, everyone's form was displayed, but the height remained constant, likely to prevent any race from appearing superior. Demons were known to be among the largest creatures.

There were already nine beings present, and with Void, it made ten.

Void slowly scanned everyone, noting the numbers clearly displayed above their heads. He was number eight. He took special interest in those ranked higher.

"Oh, you're here," Doria greeted him with a slight smile.

"Hmph," Luke merely snorted, crossing his arms.

"Let's start since we're all here," Fire Blade said with a simple expression.

"Alright, what's today's topic?" Marcule asked, eager to dive in.

"Wait, Kira, can you catch Void up on what we discussed last time?" Mark said, glancing at the woman beside him.

"Hey, why can't I explain it this time?" Feng Yue teased with a smile.

Kira rolled her eyes at Feng Yue. "Welcome, Void. Previously, we talked about the war, the gods, and the restrictions placed on us. Rank 3 beings can't act because this world can't withstand their presence. So, it's up to us Rank 2s. Everyone is laying low, and most of us are gathered on a large, deserted island. For now, we'll ignore the other humans, but once we win, we'll help those we can." Kira paused, looking expectantly at Void.

"Don't you care about the other former humans? Why didn't you ask why we're ignoring them now?" Feng Yue interjected, clearly annoyed. Her butterfly wings fluttered, and her humanoid body was dazzling—but Void didn't care.

"First of all, you don't understand what a demon is," Void replied coldly. "Most of you still have lingering attachments. You feel you owe something to the former humans, to our planet. I don't. Whether they live or die is up to them. But I'll help you from the rear. Just keep the Rank 2s at bay."

Void's appearance had shifted again. His demonic form, once hideous, was now more normal—still terrifying, but not out of place among the varied creatures present. Among them, the Celestial Maiden(Feng yue) and Kira stood out as the most beautiful, while most of the males were as ugly as demons, except for Marcule, a god.

His words silenced the room. Void had spoken the truth. They were new creatures now, their personalities altered by their transformations. The only thing holding the human race together was the system—the rankings, the trade network, and the benefits that came with being in the top ten. Deep down, though, they felt guilty. Their weakness had led to Earth's destruction.

Void calmly watched their reactions. He understood their feelings, but the Abyss had stripped demons of any warmth. Concepts like race, family, or love now felt foreign.

Sometimes, Void wished he could feel like them, but he knew it would be a weakness. He was like Beerus, the God of Destruction: if he grew too soft, he wouldn't be able to do his job. Wiping out millions of lives was a heavy burden for anyone.

"Well, Void, we appreciate your help in advance," Mark finally broke the silence. Unlike his usual carefree demeanor, Mark now revealed his true self.

"This war will be life and death. Either we live, or they do. I'm not saying this to boost morale—it's the harsh truth. We lost our home because of our weakness. Half our civilization was wiped out because we relied too much on technology. We lost our families and friends, and those scars remain with us. This time, there's no second chance. We've been given a new life and a chance to become stronger. No matter how much we change or how heartless we become—" Mark paused, locking eyes with Void. His expression was now emotionless, chillingly so.

"We still miss our home, our parents, our loved ones, our civilization," Mark continued. Void gave a slight nod.

"In three weeks, we fight. We kill anything that stands in our way. Any other humans? They're not part of our civilization. No mercy. I won't say this to the others, but you all—the top ten—you understand the burden we carry. No matter what we've become, we all came from the same source: the human race." Mark paused, letting the weight of his words sink in.

"He's right," Kira said, releasing her aura. "I've seen the human race in the Divine Plane of my world. No matter where you go, no matter the universe, one thing remains true about humans—"

"We have hope," Feng Yue finished, her aura flaring. In this space, auras could be released and felt, but no harm could come from them.

"We have determination," Marcule added, his voice resolute. "Determination to fight for what we love, no matter how much we've been hurt."

"And revenge," Fire Blade's voice thundered, his massive dragon form imposing. "Humans are not the only ones who seek revenge, but our revenge is the most cruel and deadly. We go to extremes for it. This time, we will win our first war together—as the former human race and as the new creatures we've become."

"We are one race, not bound by our skin or our faces, but by our hearts," they all said in unison, their combined auras converging into a single point.

For the first time in a while, Void felt something—excitement. His blood boiled at the thought of war. A demon, standing alongside these other creatures. What would the future hold?
