Kapitel 261: Chapter 261: Preparing to Return to Earth

As Tony Stark stepped off the starship, he was immediately approached by Kael and Reno.

"Tony, did you manage to crack the wormhole jump technology?" Kael asked.

Tony smiled. "Yeah, I hit a few roadblocks at the start, things even I couldn't solve alone. But with the help of the Mogrian scientists Lix brought over, it took about a year, and we finally broke through. The tests are complete, and now it's just a matter of production."

Tony was careful not to take all the credit. He knew that without Lix's support, the research would've taken decades, maybe even centuries if he was lucky. The data, personnel, and equipment from Mogri were vital. Lix's resources were something that most civilizations would never share unless there was a monumental alliance involved. Yet, Lix had given them freely because of his unwavering belief in Tony's loyalty to the Void Sect.

Lix's fanatic devotion to the Void Sect had impressed Tony early on. Seeing how far Lix was willing to go to help, Tony understood that being considered an ally was crucial. If Lix ever viewed someone as an enemy, he would stop at nothing to destroy them.

"Did you tell Lix the good news?" Reno inquired.

Tony nodded. "I would've liked to tell him personally, but there's no need. The moment I confirmed the accuracy of the calculations, I passed the news to the team I've been working with. I'm sure they've already relayed it to him."

Just as Tony had predicted, on a distant, dark planet shrouded in eternal night and filled with monstrous creatures, Lix stood atop a mountain. He looked like a blazing red flame against the bleak landscape.

"A precision of less than ten miles... the great Void God Kassadin's choice was indeed correct," Lix said, smiling as he read the message from his people.

From the moment he learned that Kassadin had personally commissioned a lab for Tony, Lix knew Tony had earned the Void God's favor. This was no small matter. It was why, after meeting Tony and realizing he was a decent person, Lix had offered his full support. His goal was to expedite Tony's research, ensuring the Void Sect could accelerate its growth. But despite receiving the good news, Lix decided not to return to Void Island to celebrate just yet.

At the foot of his mountain, a sea of darkness writhed, filled with the roars of terrifying creatures. Lix knew that while Kassadin had no ambition to conquer worlds, any growing force would inevitably face enemies. He wasn't a scientific genius like Tony, able to advance the Void Sect through technology. His only way to contribute was by making himself stronger, ensuring that no one would dare challenge the Void God in the future.

Back on Void Island, Tony turned to Reno and Kael. "Let me check in with Sonya first, and we can catch up at the celebration tonight."

After giving his friends a quick update, Tony headed for the mountain-top villa to meet with Sonya. She had anticipated his visit, knowing that Tony only returned to report something significant. She dressed in formal attire, ready to greet him.

"Tony, you seem to be bringing good news?" Sonya smiled as she welcomed him.

"Yeah, the wormhole jump technology is finally complete, at least for now. It's not the most advanced, but it's ready for sale. As for building independent starships, that's just a matter of gathering more funds and setting up production lines," Tony explained.

"Congratulations, Tony. You've worked hard," Sonya said, clearly pleased with the news.

"It wasn't that bad. This was something I wanted to do anyway. Tomorrow, I'll set up the production process and assign supervisors to ensure everything's running smoothly. I'll need your help hiring some more talent," Tony replied modestly.

"Of course, leave that to me," Sonya agreed.

Tony then made his way to the villa's main hall, where he found Harvey. Without any formalities, he flopped onto the soft couch, clearly exhausted.

"Feels good to have made progress, huh? Finally able to relax a bit?" Harvey asked with a grin, not minding Tony's lack of decorum.

"Yeah, I'm not completely stress-free, but it's a huge relief. I've been here on Xandar for over a year now, and with this milestone reached, I think it's time I headed back to Blue Star to see Pepper," Tony said, letting out a deep sigh.

The hardest part of his research was behind him. Now it was just about overseeing the production process and ironing out any minor issues. Tony felt it was the right time to return to Blue Star and check on Pepper. After all, he had been away for over a year, caught up in his work and some well-deserved fun on Xandar, but he knew Pepper deserved his attention.

Xandar was incredible, but Tony still had people and things that tied him to Blue Star.
