Koby had originally dreamed of becoming a Marine hero. But since joining the organization, he had seen firsthand the corruption and injustices that lay beneath the surface. The reality of the Marines was far from his ideals, and it clashed with his deep desire to protect people.

This disillusionment led Koby to admire the Straw Hat Crew and the ideals of the Revolutionary Army. Seeing their genuine commitment to freedom and justice rekindled a fire within him. It was this shift in perspective that made him eager to follow Chiba's lead, despite the Marine's reputation.

Recognizing Koby's potential, Chiba decided to pass on the supernatural Senju technique to both Koby and Helmeppo. With this power, they would be able to reach Vice Admiral-level strength rapidly.

However, Chiba refrained from sharing the Damage Transfer ability with them. He believed that an overreliance on such a technique could weaken their resolve. True warriors needed to face their challenges head-on, not retreat or deflect. For Koby, especially, retaining the heart of a swordsman was essential for growth.

After finishing his lessons with Koby and Helmeppo, Chiba turned his attention to Apu, the pirate with the strange musical body.

With a single thought, these particles would rise, emitting a soul-stirring sound that could immobilize his foes.

This new power had incredible potential. Against groups, it would be devastating; a single burst of the God Elephant's call could incapacitate opponents within a wide radius.

Chiba estimated that with his current strength, he could:

Paralyze anyone below Rear Admiral level within a kilometer.

Immobilize anyone below Vice Admiral level within 100 meters.

Within a 10-meter range, even admirals would find themselves momentarily frozen.

And if he focused the power on a single target, even the most seasoned admirals might lose control of their bodies for a crucial moment—a moment long enough for Chiba to strike.

The potential of this power made him smile. If used correctly, it could render most battlefield tactics useless against him. Chiba glanced over at the half-conscious Apu, who was slumped in the corner.

"Well, Apu," Chiba said with a grin, "I'm offering you a chance to join me. What do you say?"

Apu's face turned pale as he nodded vigorously, realizing he had little choice. "Yes, yes! Of course, Master Chiba. I'd be honored!"

Do I really have a choice? Apu thought to himself. If I don't join him, I'll probably end up as his next experiment.

But as he thought more about it, Apu felt a surge of excitement. If I stick with Chiba, I might get access to potions, techniques, and all kinds of powers. I could become one of the strongest!

Apu's eyes gleamed with ambition, and he looked at Chiba with newfound enthusiasm. "Master Chiba, I pledge my loyalty to you. Wherever you go, I'll follow."

"Good. But tone down the flattery," Chiba said, waving him off. "Just stay loyal and useful."

When Chiba and Apu exited the lab, a small crowd had gathered. The Straw Hat crew, seeing Chopper and Robin benefit so much from Chiba's studies, were filled with anticipation.

Sanji, Zoro, and Usopp had missed their chances, and they stood to the side with somewhat dejected expressions. But Brook, Franky, and Nami looked at Chiba eagerly, each hoping for a turn.

Brook, ever confident in his unique abilities, spoke up first. "Yohohoho! Chiba-kun, study my body! I may be just bones, but I have the powers of the Yomi Yomi no Mi. Surely I'm worth studying!"

Franky struck a dramatic pose, flexing his metallic arms. "Super! Brother Chiba, I'm a cyborg! I've modified my body to perfection! Study me, and maybe you can improve my design."

Nami hesitated for a moment, but then stepped forward, her cheeks tinged with a slight blush. "Mr. Chiba… I don't have Devil Fruit powers or a modified body, but I'm an expert navigator. I think my body… might be worth studying too."

Chiba looked at each of them, amused by their eagerness.
