Nick's eye widened in recognition. "Is that what I think it is?"
Julian nodded. "The Shade Serum. It's enhanced Natasha, Yelena, and others on our team. I believe it's time for both of you to have the same advantage."
Maria leaned forward, her eyes bright with interest. "What exactly does it do?"
"It enhances strength, speed, healing, and cognitive functions," Julian explained. "For you, Nick, it might even regenerate your eye."
Nick touched his eyepatch reflexively, a mix of emotions playing across his face. "You'd trust me with this kind of power?"
Julian met his father's gaze steadily. "I trust you with my life... Dad. This is just making it official."
The word 'Dad' hung in the air, charged with meaning. Nick's expression softened, a rare smile crossing his features.
Maria looked between them, her own eyes glistening slightly. "I'd be honored to accept," she said softly.
