Kapitel 27: Loosing Her

Damien's POV:

I didn't know whether to be happy that she got her memories back or to cry because I might lose her now. The uncertainty gnawed at me, and I felt like I was standing on the edge of a cliff. Midnight, my wolf, growled low in my mind. We're not losing her, he declared with unwavering conviction. I wished I had his confidence. 

Ever since I marked her, I could feel the mate bond stronger than ever. It returned with a force that nearly overwhelmed me, allowing me to sense her every emotion, her every thought. I could hear her inside my mind, feel her heartbeat in sync with mine. But then she blocked me—completely—right after she told me she needed space. The wall between us went up so fast it left me breathless, and suddenly, I was cut off from her, left in a void of silence.
