Kapitel 93: Beneath the Surface

As the battle at the camp's border raged, Aria, Atara, and Eliora were sat on the floor, huddled together by the entrance to the infirmary tent. The distant sounds of attle caused an ominous backdrop that constantly reminded them of the dangers they were being spared from in the tent's confines now filled with a metallic tang.

They were not alone here though. Behind them were dozens of makeshift beds, put together using a few logs of wood bound together by ropes on that were beast hides stuffed with leaves to make a mattress all lined up in the tent, on them were mercenaries, soldiers and adventurers alike lay still. Some had been there for a day while most had only been there for a few minutes at most, dragged there by their comrades still fighting outside.

On one of the beds was someone they recognized, a man who along with the rest of his companions, his leader, and his master made their lives difficult.
