Kaleb's shoulders rose and fell with sharp breaths. He glared at Renna, his gaze filled with a heavy intent, a smoldering intensity in his eyes. It was a look any normal person wouldn't like to be at the receiving end of.
Renna tilted her head, and the corner of her lip rose just enough to be noticed.
"Well,"
She began, her tone dripping with clear amusement.
"I suppose I should be flattered you're paying such close attention to someone my age. But glaring at me like that won't solve your problem, Kaleb."
She crossed her arms loosely over her chest, her demeanor relaxed, as if they were discussing the weather instead of standing on the edge of disaster.
