The war room aboard the Ark was dimly lit, the only source of light coming from the large holographic display in the center of the table. The map of the galaxy hovered in the air, star systems flickering in red and blue. Ethan stood at the head of the table, his arms crossed, his brow furrowed as he stared at the glowing dots. The galaxy was tearing itself apart, and they were at the heart of it.

To his left stood Prella, her expression grim as she studied the map. Her Radiansaber was clipped to her belt, the weight of it a constant reminder of the battles they had fought, and the ones still to come. Vala leaned against the wall near the doorway, her laser bow slung over her shoulder, a mischievous grin playing at her lips despite the tension in the room. Nova, always composed, sat at her console, fingers flying across the keys as she gathered data and prepared for the briefing.
