Kapitel 93: PLAN TWO

Charlotte stood before Sebastian's door, struggling to conjure up fake tears. Her grip on her bag tightened as her other hand reached for the doorbell. Pausing, she checked her reflection to ensure her tears looked convincing.

"Thanks to that optional acting class I took back in college," she thought, a hint of a faint smile playing on her lips. She squeezed her eyes shut, willing more tears to appear.

Her plan was to manipulate Sebastian's sympathy, gaining entrance with a sob story she was still concocting.

"Alright," she whispered to herself, bracing her nerves as she pressed the doorbell. "It's time."

The door swung open almost instantly, and Charlotte's gaze met Sebastian's startled face. His eyes widened in surprise, and the trash bag in his hand hovered motionless, as if frozen in the air.
