They practiced the Eight Gates all day. Everyone was serious about their training, but only Genya, Hayashi, and Hikari could perform the technique. Neji still couldn't manage it.
In the following days, everyone continued their intense training!
One day, Genya invited Naruto to his house for a feast. Since he was leaving, it was time to extract some of the Nine-Tails' chakra!
This mission would take an unknown amount of time, and he didn't know when he would return!
In the mental space, Genya stood calmly in front of the sealing gate, his expression calm.
"Kurama, we meet again!" Genya's eyes were fixed on the Nine-Tails, who seemed to have been waiting for this moment. A smile appeared on his face.
"You brat. You still know how to come?" The Nine-Tails sounded a bit annoyed, as it always knew that when Genya came, he would absorb its chakra.
Did he think the Nine-Tails was just some tool?

Despite that, it actually liked this kid.
"This time, I'm going to finish telling you the story!" Genya looked at the Nine-Tails with a faint smile on his lips, and as he spoke, he released black flames.

"This trip to the Land of Wind is a trade with the Kazekage there. There won't be any danger on the way, or else Uchiha Kinya wouldn't have sent Genya," explained Sarutoni Eisuke, noticing the puzzled look on the Third Hokage's face. He quickly added, "Also, there's a Elite Jōnin, Uchiha Shin, accompanying them, so the risk is minimal!"
Hmph!
The Third Hokage nodded, but then a cold gleam flashed in his eyes. "Since that's the case, let's give him some trouble. The monstrous son of Uchiha Kinya. If he dies, it probably won't cause much of an uproar, right?"
"Recently, this kid has caused some trouble with the Uchiha Police Force, and it's not been well received!"
Sarutobi Hiruzen said, then turned his attention to Sarutobi Eisuke. "Go prepare everything. Make sure this looks like an attack by the Land of Wind's bandit groups—don't involve us!"
"Yes!" Sarutobi Eisuke nodded and then left.
Genya and his group escorted the cargo toward the Land of Wind. Along the way, he would occasionally step out to hunt wild beasts to enhance his chakra.

The journey was peaceful for the most part.
In the heart of the Land of Wind, amidst the vast desert, yellow sand stretched endlessly. Occasionally, small villages would appear around oases, and finally, they arrived at Sunagakure, the Hidden Sand Village.
It was almost entirely a settlement of sand, and Genya couldn't help but wonder how the people of Sunagakure survived in such an environment.
When the merchant caravan arrived at Sunagakure, Sand ninja approached to meet with Uchiha Shin. Genya, feeling a bit bored, wandered around the village with two Chūnin, curious about what made Sunagakure unique in the Land of Wind.
As they aimlessly strolled, occasionally observing their surroundings, something suddenly caught his eye.
Under the Kazekage's building, there was a lone child playing with sand. The child scooped up a handful of sand, letting it slip through his fingers.
This repetitive, lonely motion continued.
The child appeared to be around Genya's age, with striking red hair and large eyes, accompanied by dark circles under his eyes.
Nearby, there were a group of children his age playing with a ball, but they deliberately avoided the lonely child.
It was as though the child was a curse, and everyone around him kept their distance.
He had seen this kind of reaction before with Naruto—people avoiding him as if he were a plague!
"Gaara!"
Genya looked at the lonely child, who was about the same age as him. A smile appeared on his face as he stepped forward toward Gaara.
About a hundred meters behind Gaara, a yellow-haired ninja saw Genya walking toward him and wanted to stop him. However, after a brief hesitation, he decided to step back!
Gaara hadn't spoken to anyone in a long time, and talking to someone would help him relax, loosening the tension in his heart.
Though the ninja stepped back, he continued to watch Gaara closely.
Genya walked up to Gaara, who was playing with sand. He looked at Gaara and asked, "Who are you? Why are you playing with sand all alone?"
