Kapitel 7: Chapter 6: The ThunderMaster's Pursuit

The village nestled in the Sacred Land of Buddha lay under a darkened sky, not from storm clouds but from the ominous presence of an old and formidable figure—Zhi Long, the ThunderMaster. His name was revered across the lands, spoken of in hushed tones, and his staff, a gnarled and ancient wooden relic, was said to embody the profound wisdom of ages past. Zhi Long, sent by the false Buddha, had a singular, unyielding goal: to eliminate the young man who dared to challenge the false Buddha's decree.

Zhi Long, though bearing an aura of profound power, was not given to needless conflict. His approach was calculated and deliberate. He moved through the village with an air of calm authority, his eyes scanning every corner, his staff tapping rhythmically on the ground. The villagers, recognizing the ThunderMaster's stature, dared not obstruct his path, but their anxiety was palpable.

The old mage's search led him across the Sacred Land, a realm steeped in ancient traditions and reverence for the Buddha. The landscape was a tapestry of serene temples, verdant forests, and tranquil rivers, but the tranquility was disrupted by Zhi Long's relentless quest. He inquired with the monks and sages, his questions directed with precision, and soon his investigation guided him to the outskirts of the village.

There, amid the ruins of a once-holy sanctuary, Zhi Long found himself at the last known location where Surya had been seen. The area was desolate, marked by the remnants of old rituals and sacred relics. Zhi Long's presence seemed to amplify the air's heaviness, and the villagers' whispers grew louder with the arrival of the ThunderMaster.

In this forsaken part of the village, Zhi Long's inquiries finally led him to an unexpected figure—Li Wei. The young warrior stood vigilant, his sword sheathed and his posture rigid as he noticed the approaching mage. Li Wei's eyes met Zhi Long's, and he recognized the gravity of the situation.

"Are you here in search of someone?" Li Wei asked, his voice steady despite the tension. "This is a troubled land, and strangers are not often welcome."

Zhi Long's gaze was like a storm brewing on the horizon. "I seek the one who defies the will of the false Buddha. The young man who has dared to intervene in matters beyond his understanding."

Li Wei, in a moment of misplaced confidence, responded with a hint of pride. "I know of this young man. He goes by the name Surya. He is someone who—"

Before Li Wei could finish, Zhi Long's eyes narrowed with a steely resolve. The ThunderMaster's staff, a symbol of both knowledge and power, began to hum with latent energy. The air around him crackled, and a faint blue glow emanated from the ancient wood.

"So, you know him," Zhi Long said, his voice carrying the weight of thunder. "Then you will be the first to bear witness to the storm that follows."

Without further warning, Zhi Long raised his staff, and the very atmosphere seemed to shiver in anticipation. Lightning sparked at the tip of the staff, casting an eerie light over the desolate landscape. The old mage, though aged and wise, exuded a formidable power that belied his years.

Li Wei, recognizing the threat in Zhi Long's stance, drew his sword, his resolve steeling as he prepared to defend his friend and the village. "If you seek to harm Surya, you will have to go through me first."

Zhi Long's expression remained calm, almost pitying. "Your bravery is commendable, but against the power of the ThunderMaster, it is as a leaf before a storm. Prepare yourself, young warrior, for the tempest that I shall unleash."

As Zhi Long began to conjure a storm, the air grew heavy with static, and the sky darkened with swirling clouds. The serene beauty of the Sacred Land was overshadowed by the mage's storm, a harbinger of the chaos that was about to unfold.

Li Wei braced himself, ready to face the storm and defend his friend. The stage was set for a confrontation that would test both his courage and the true extent of Zhi Long's legendary power.
